Story
In Power Grab, Chaffetz pulls back the curtain on the world of hypocrisy, political intrigue, and procedural malfeasance that is Washington, DC. With stories you won't hear anywhere else, he shows how the left weaves false narratives, drums up investigations in search of a crime, and refuses to direct congressional oversight towards its appropriate target: the government. Democrats weaponize nonprofit advocacy groups and monetize partisan anger to line the pockets of their political allies.

Story
At the local state university, two feuding departments have faced off on the battleground of science and medicine. Each carries their views to extremes that may seem absurd, but highly educated people of sound mind and good intentions can reasonably disagree, right? Then a renowned and confrontational scholar winds up dead, and Virgil Flowers is brought in to investigate...and as he probes the recent ideological unrest, he soon comes to realize he's dealing with people who, on this one particular issue, are functionally crazy.

Story
Looking out the window of the Phoenix Books office at Hollywood and Vine, we often gaze up the street towards Ivar Avenue to the corner now known as Raymond Chandler Square, in hopes of catching a glimpse of Phillip Marlowe as he enters the building that houses the 6th floor office of Marlowe P.I. (or as Marlowe affectionately refers to it “his dog house on the 6th floor”). With that thought in mind, we’ve compiled here the first of a two-part collection of Raymond Chandler’s Philip Marlowe novels.

Four well written, thought out stories. From the master of suspense. Phillip Marlowe honest and ethical on one hand and a rascal on the other. I've been trying to read some of the older authors, Chandler is the best.

Story
Dean Milo was a phenomenally successful businessman. Along the way, he established a lengthy list of enemies. His fast-track ride to the top came to a violent halt on August 11, 1980, when Milo was found dead in his luxurious Ohio home, shot twice in the head. A blank telegram form lay nearby. This is the gripping story of the remarkable collaboration between Texas private eye, Bill Dear, and the police detectives of Akron, Ohio, that led to the convictions of the people responsible for the death. It is also a tale of the human weakness, desperation, and overwhelming greed.
