There is a twist
Reviewed: 09-03-22
This kept my interest. There are lots of twist and turns that makes it difficult to put down. Initially, I thought the accent of the reader was going to drive me nuts, but I got past it. I enjoyed it.

Story
As children, Sam and Elli were two halves of a perfect whole: gorgeous identical twins whose parents sometimes couldn’t even tell them apart. They fell asleep to the sound of each other’s breath at night, holding hands in the dark. And once Hollywood discovered them, they became B-list child TV stars, often inhabiting the same role. But as adults, their lives have splintered. After leaving acting, Elli reinvented herself as the perfect homemaker: married to a real estate lawyer, living in a house just blocks from the beach.

Excellent story. I didn't want it to end. I loved the storyline of the twin sisters. The loyalty and bond between them that continued throughout the story was sweet. I loved the happy evening.

It took me a minute to get into it. But I remembered other books I have read by Ken Follett and decided to continue to listen. I love the story line. The one thing you can always rely on from him is originality. He always has that nasty villain that by the end of the story you can't wait for their demise. I enjoyed the love story and the way he softens some of his characters personalities as the story ends. Great listen, I will have to read it now.
