Story
Arthur lives with his father, a fallen but proud former noble, in Border Village #49, along with the other good folks condemned to toil in service to the Baron. But Arthur has an edge: a stolen heart card that secretly fell into his possession, thanks to a dragon. It’s a priceless source of power for the Baron and the tyrant will kill to get it back. Invaluable, too, to a young man of spellcasting ambitions.

Really well done book. The deck building part always turned me away but I finally gave it a try. It’s was not what I was expecting at all. Definitely worth getting!

Deep inside Minkalla's depths Matt, Liz, Aster, and Susanne just fought one of the strongest monsters they have ever encountered. But their delve isn't over yet. Three floors remain and each promises to push them past their perceived limits. There is no escape. There is no higher Tier to get them out of trouble. The only things they can rely on are themselves and the rest of the party.

Found myself not caring at all. The alternative universe is stuff isn’t fun. Side story’s is just useless filler. And only 19 chapters isn’t a full book. Just a rip off. End of a great series for me.

Story
Salvatore's worst nightmare is taking on a demon, but if he wants to stay at Quest Academy, how will he prove to himself and everyone else that he can succeed? He's going to have to take on an entire floor of a demonic tower before the first semester comes to a close. That's the least of Sal's problems as he navigates through his first student mission away from the school. Sal is more comfortable at the crafting table, but he needs to survive in a reclaimed zone outside of the academy with the worst team of misfits you could possibly imagine.

Beating the a MC for a whole book is a bit overkill. Didn’t even feel like growth. Just beating him down the whole time. Bad ending. Made it feel like rest of the book was missing.

Yet, unlike Jason's former battles, his enemies are unclear—hidden in the shadows and hiring others to do their dirty work, including the infamous Death and Taxes. Without a clear enemy or way to stop this threat, Jason is forced to do something he never thought he would...ask for help.

Half a millennium ago, in a desperate attempt to defeat the Ithonian Empire, Kanderon Crux and her allies banished the city of Imperial Ithos from Anastis. Her dread weapon, the Exile Splinter, even erased the memory of its location from the universe. Now it's returning and bringing the Exile Splinter back with it. The great powers of the continent are desperately hunting for the lost city, knowledge lost even to Kanderon herself. None know what ancient Ithonian weapons and enchantments might still be found in the ruins, but the Exile Splinter alone would be a prize to justify war.

Definitely not as good as the other books but not nearly bad enough for all the bad reviews. Needs to refocus back on the MC and the author is trying to make sure we know they are "woke". Other then that tho still plenty of action and performance was solid
