Story
My life definitely wasn’t going according to plan, but that all changed the moment I died unexpectedly. Now I’ve been reborn into the fantasy metropolis of Dragonmont City, where I get a second chance to flourish. A twist of fate brings me into contact with Paulina, the proud but troubled owner of Goblin Girl Maid Service. Together with her slightly crazy best friend Kennedi, these two insanely beautiful goblin girls are trying to get their struggling business off the ground. But the competition, in the form of bearded dwarf ladies with a serious attitude problem, has never been stiffer.

A pyramid predating all known cultures appears without warning. Its discovery throws into question everything we know about the origins of mankind. Inside lies incredible technology, proof of a culture far more advanced than our own. Something dark lurks within, eager to resume a war as old as mankind. When it is unleashed it heralds the end of our species’ reign.

I know this is a terrible thing to say or to admit to people, but I didn't cry until about 4 years of time had passed since my wife died of cancer. Knowing this about myself I was completely surprised at the ending of this book had tears welling up in my eyes and down my cheeks. I would know sooner get them dried off and my nose blown and it would start all over again. not blubbering like an idiot, Just sad tears running down my cheeks without control.

Story
The Aftermath of a stunning victory—especially an unexpected, complete, and final victory—should be high-fives all around, listening to politicians give boring congratulatory speeches, and a well-deserved rest for the Merry Band of Pirates. Yes, the galaxy is still a freakin' mess, but that is nothing new, and for a change, that can be someone else's problem. Until, you know, something really bad happens, and only the Pirates can deal with the problem... Or not.

Love the books, but...
Reviewed: 08-17-23
I love the story but I don't appreciate hearing about Jason's politics or the woke trans and LGBT communities. I agree it's not necessary to the story and to believe that Jason is a socialist is just outrageous. I know the author can tell the story anyway he wants and he does a fine job but seriously are you under political pressure by certain groups or is this how you really want to write the story?

A man. His ex-girlfriend's cat. A sadistic game show unlike anything in the universe: a dungeon crawl where survival depends on killing your prey in the most entertaining way possible. In a flash, every human-erected construction on Earth - from Buckingham Palace to the tiniest of sheds - collapses in a heap, sinking into the ground. The buildings and all the people inside have all been atomized and transformed into the dungeon: an 18-level labyrinth filled with traps, monsters, and loot.
