Story
Filled with sharply drawn, emotionally powerful senses, Walk Through Fire traces the hardships Sheila faced in her marriage and her professional life. Despite her skills as a violinist and music teacher, as well as her obvious entrepreneurial talent, she had to fight to overcome self-doubt and fears of failure. Sheila vividly details her struggles, including battling institutional racism, losing a child, suffering emotional abuse in her thirty-three-year marriage, and plunging into a deep depression with her divorce. And yet, out of that pain came renewed purpose and meaning.

Vulnerable & Victorious

Sheila Johnson courageously opens up to us and pours out her heart. She takes us on a ride of the ups and downs of life at every financial level. She finds her peace not in the things our culture may focus on, but in overcoming her personal obstacles. I have new respect for her and her struggle.

I don’t enjoy sappy romantic novels, and I don’t always want to hear the detailed description of a sexual encounter. This book is neither of those things. There was enough romance, mystery and action to keep me intrigued and entertained, while rooting for the love story.
