It’s going to take me a few days to get over the experience of listening to this. The narration was perfect. The story was perfect. The character development was perfect. I am now going to try to read everything written by Ken Follett.

I can’t love this book enough. The authors narration style is so soothing as well. Thank you for writing it.

This book validated my existence. The author gives fabulous tips for those of us “gifted” with ADHD.

Touching exciting and beautiful. It was hard to read about the violence against women but sadly that was the norm.

Could have been a good story, but the attacks against Catholics and Christians in general is so overdone, and in such an unoriginal manner as to be tiresome. I want a refund from Audible.

This book was hard to listen to. At one point I wanted to stop because it was making me so sad. And yet the story, although fiction, was a reality for people in the not so long ago past. Wonderful narration.

Chapters and chapters of absolutely nothing. Somewhere around the third chapter she describes an entire trip to a grocery store. That was when I gave up. This could have been a really cute book… I loved the interaction with the octopus. But seriously. There was just nothing happening.

The only thing that was annoying was if they bothered to translate the book to English, why would the narrator read the characters' voices with French accents? I found this extremely distracting. It's not as if the narrator actually had a French accent. Is this supposed to remind the audience that the original book was written in French? Kind of pointless.

Wonderful book and entertaining narration. I like the fact that it is research based. I found myself pausing the book many times to stop and think about how I could apply the principles to my own life.
