Another superb book by JA Huss!

I have read most of Ms Huss’s long list of books..and have loved listening to them on audible! Wonderful readers have been chosen to take us the reader in this fabulous journey. I truly love her (JA Huss) sick mind! The plots are alway interesting and totally unique.. always way above my comport level. She explores the usual.. this whole ‘company’ series combined with the Tragic series makes her world come alive.. we humans don’t live in isolated moments.. we interact with others and sometimes there are consequences. I love her consequences! My review is more a review of JA Huss that this book in particular.. sorry! BUT this is a great read, and if this is your first of her books you will have a wonderful ride! AND keep reading cause you won’t be disappointed!

I love the whole Outlander series but the first book is my favorite.. mainly because this is the start of a wonderful adventure! Diana Gabaldon bring everything moment alive.. it’s like you are experiencing everything long side Claire. Davina Porters reading make the whole of the experience even more vivid.
I first read this book, but I have repeatedly listened to it on audible as I love being read too by wonderful narrators. I give this book, and all the following books 5 stars. This is because of the scope and magnitude of the history that is woven into the story. Though the story is fiction the details surrounding the events are factual. These books have given me a great insight, plus interest in knowing more about the historical events that occur during the time period. In return I have expanded my knowledge base! No matter what you take from these books it’s a fabulous ride!

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

Love Zachary Webber as the narrator, he is Christian Grey! Christians point of view is fall more interesting and raw. Anna’s is a bit winy in the original story.. Grey and Darker are so much more intense and engaging than the original trifecta.. can’t wait for the last book in this series! This is a book you can listen to repeatedly because of Mr Webber’s narration! Totally recommend both books!

I loved the deviant idea behind the story line...
It’s interesting to think that there could be a group of southern elitist who enjoyed inflicting pain and degradation on people they considered beneath them all in the name of an internal contest for power! Hope there is no such sick group BUT it made for an entertaining story line.. and the best part is karma is a b* tch! Highly recommend all 3 books!

As a child, Landon Lucas Maxfield believed his life was perfect and looked forward to a future filled with promise - until tragedy tore his family apart and made him doubt everything he ever believed. All he wanted was to leave the past behind. When he met Jacqueline Wallace, his desire to be everything she needed came so easy.… As easy as it could be for a man who learned that the soul is breakable and that everything you hoped for could be ripped away in a heartbeat.

I picked this book because Z Webber was the reader... I listened to 'Easy' first because it was first in series but I had found this book first. I knew it would be a good listen and interesting story. I liked 'Easy' and the female reader was good, but missed the male point of view in that story.
I enjoyed the back and forth perspective of both Lucas and Landon... it gave the listener an in-depth understanding of this young mans journey before, after, and during a life altering event that almost swallows him alive in self loathing. BUT love can heal many wounds if we take a chance!
Really enjoyed!

I like the overall Highland story line but the main characters in this book, Lily and Kyle were a bit weak in substance... Plot was boring and predictable. I like a book with more historical background in balance with the romance. This was my first and only Montclair book, sadly probably last as well.
