this was a good listen. I found myself even getting annoyed with the main character when he had trouble with his interpersonal skills that made the other characters in the book also annoyed/ irritated....that's when you know it's a great book. excellent performance and story overall.

after listening to all 3 books, I'm hooked on these stories. despite then having a police procedural story frame, I still find myself not getting knowing " who done it" until the part where Mac figures it out. Even then the story is engaging enough that I still want to hear how they got to the perp. check it out if you like crime books

really good storyline, pace of story, and character depth. There are a few weird audio glitches where pitch changes, and a bit of annoying crackling but aside from that this is a must listen/read

This book was a fantastic listen. the only issue I had was the limited range of the narrator. I believe this book audible would benefit from a cast narrative instead of one or two people . other than that the story line , pace and overall setup were excellent.

the story actually was surprisingly great. not to mention the voicing was superb. the subject matter is a bit jarring when you consider how incredibly real this could be. overall the story captivates, and keeps you listening until the very end. at that point you will end up wanting a sequel about the aftermath of it all. very well written and produced. A+

Story
The thrilling conclusion to The Extinction Files is finally here! In 2003, the first human genome was sequenced. But the secrets it held were never revealed. The truth was discovered 30 years ago, almost by accident. Dr. Paul Kraus had spent his entire career searching for what he called humanity's lost tribes - human ancestors who had gone extinct. When Kraus compared the DNA samples of the lost tribes with our own, he found a pattern of changes: a code. At the time, the technology didn't exist to unravel what it meant. Kraus hid his work and disappeared.

great storyline!!!

I love how the story is continuous while still using flashback style thought streams to explain the missing portions of the first book. This was a very very good follow up book. However there were a couple points where the story kind of lagged on for a bit too long, but not too many. Hence the story rating of a 4. Everything else however was top notch. Even the narrators female voices felt in place, and that's hard to accomplish for most one narrator audible books

Story
United Nations Special Operations Command sent an elite expeditionary force of soldiers and pilots out on a simple recon mission, and somehow along the way they sparked an alien civil war. Now the not-at-all-merry band of pirates is in desperate trouble, again. Their stolen alien starship is falling apart, thousands of light years from home. The ancient alien AI they nicknamed Skippy is apparently dead, and even if they can by some miracle revive him, he might never be the same.

Story
A blueprint. A bible. What Sun Tzu’s Art of War was to ancient China, Pimp is to the streets. As real as you can get without jumping in, this is the story of Iceberg Slim’s life as he saw, felt, tasted, and smelled it. It is a trip through hell by the one man who lived to tell the tale—the dangers of jail, addiction, and death that are still all too familiar for today’s Black community. By telling the story of one man’s struggles and triumphs in an underground world, Pimp shows us the game doesn’t change; it just has a different swagger.
