Story
From executive producers of The Walking Dead and Travis Beacham, the writer of Pacific Rim, comes a heart-stopping Audible Original featuring a brilliant British cast. It’s the near future and seven years since a comet hit the earth and blotted out the sun. The world is a dark, frozen landscape. And then, beastly creatures emerge and take over. A story of apocalypse, horror, and adventure, Impact Winter is a wholly original new saga created just for Audible with immersive 3D audio that dares you to pop in your earbuds and listen in the dark.

An interesting concept. Just as I had sussed out what might happen, the opposite happens, adding more drama. I wasn't too sure whether I would like this to begin with, but the story quickly picked up the pace.
This sci-fi horror, based in the future around 2040 and feels like a zombie thriller. However, this story is all about vampires, instead. If you enjoy zombie stories, then you'll appreciate this one.
I understand that not everyone is a fan of these theatrical audiobooks, but if you give yourself a chance to break into them, then it's great, especially for this genre. Just like a game, like "Resident Evil", where you can hear the clickers, the howling, and the sound of something scurrying past. I liked how the audiobook had a bit of music at the end of each chapter, just like a TV series does.
My first audiobook with a full cast and sound effects was the "Jane Eyre collection, original drama", on Audible. After that I enjoyed, "Zombies: A record of the Year of Infection" by Don Roff. Then, "We're Alive", by K.C.Wayland was awesome. I didn't enjoy, "Carmilla", if that helps.
I want to thank Audible for sending me this free copy.

If you like movies like, "Bride Wars" and "Father of the Bride", then you'll love this one.
This book can be read as a stand alone and would be enjoyed most if you dream about the perfect wedding. Listening to this as part of a series felt a little annoying, as Becky's character was not well received in this book.
This book has been my least favorite out of the Shopaholic series.

Short, sweet, sexy romance.
Reviewed: 10-11-21
This is more of a romance, rather than a chick lit. There were some funny magical sexual innuendos. These were a bit cheesy, but it worked as it was a short girly latino romance.
Brilliant performance. I enjoyed this one better than the, "Stand In", but not as much as, "Make Mine Magic".
I enjoyed how the author wrapped up the ending. I was almost about to give it 2 stars, but it seemed to get better. If this was a longer book, it may have received a higher star rating.

Beelzebub, the prince of demons, is bored. It's his destiny to one day rule the dark underworld known as the Red Realm, but it's sooo boring down there. All he wants to do is lay around all day in the lava pits (ahhh), boss everyone around (rude!), and maybe play a cruel prank (or two). But Beelzebub's father has had it with his son's nasty attitude. No one backtalks the Red King. NO ONE. A disgraced Beelzebub is banished by his father and cursed to spend his days in the worst place either of them can imagine. EARTH.

Great for kids to learn new words
Reviewed: 10-06-21
It reminded me a little of the movie, "Toy Story". Especially the scene where they leave the house and go to the mall. I was expecting something like, "Lucifer" the TV show, and in some ways it was, what with discovering emotions for the first time and all. The only difference being, that this was for kids, but still has a similar tone.
I loved the part where Beezlebub discovers the internet... "Hi guys! Welcome to my channel!" "Baby shark doo doo doo doo"... and the scene where he buys his red suit. "You look like a Brenda!" Lol! I was surprised to get some belly laughs from this mini book.
Overall, it felt like the first episode of a new TV show. Performed excellently!

I enjoyed her mini book on time management, so I thought I would give this a go. It gets a high rating because there are a couple of good ideas.
It's a nice little reminder why we need discipline, but not necessarily like the idea of it due to negative connotations.

What a disaster! I only just made my flight to New York to help my uncle, and the phone I'm holding is not mine! It seems to belong to some commitment-phobic serial dater who's never made it past four dates (according to the constant notifications he's getting from his fake dating profile).... And worse? I have a sinking feeling it's that hot suit-monkey with the arctic grey eyes I just had a run-in with at the airport. Somehow, I have to persuade him not to get a new phone until I get back. My whole life is on that phone. I knew I should have backed it up. It's only a few days. Surely, we can handle it.

I'm so glad I took a chance on this, as this receives 4 or 5 stars from me! The story was fast paced, and the anticipation kept it to be a page turner.
The story starts in an aeroplane, which feels fun on it's own seeing as we're lockdown. The idea of jumping on a plane & escaping is fun.
I noticed that "The Stand In" has a similar story with a sick elderly relative that they need to care for.
The male narrator first begins as sounding like a douche, which is the role he's playing, but I did find myself warming to his voice towards the end. Just from the sound of his voice, I could tell he was more attractive than the male character in book 2. I could hear that the male narrator didn't sound very British, and it becomes more apparent towards the end of the book, when his accent breaks. You can hear the cowboy in him when he puts on female voices.
I was a little surprised by the erotic scenes, but don't let that put you off. I felt like the erotic scenes helped me view Penny Dreadful in a new light!
Do not bother with book 2 in this sequel.

I prefer book 1. Book 1 received 4 or 5 stars from me! Book 1 had a faster pace, and the anticipation kept it to be a page turner.
This book was not that. It was obvious where the story was going, but it could have been trimmed down. The last 1.5hrs was not necessary.
This wasn't much of a sequel as their was only an occasional reference to the characters in book 1. They never meet or intercept the story. This could've been a stand alone book.
In other words, book 1 was a modern romance and book 2 felt like a classic period drama. It depends what you're into.

Although she sounds like a blonde millennial, I feel like I couldn't discriminate based on her Californian accent, so I gave this book another try.
I was starting to give up again, until I listened to a section about planning, which caught my interest, so I decided to hit pause and check out who she's talking about.
I personally have never heard of Brooke Miccio and Belinda Selene in the planner community, but what I wasn't expecting to see was that Belinda Selene is passing off her stickers that she's selling as her own artwork! I clearly recognise some of the designs have been created by other artists, such as Tanya Kart. I know that there are extra licences to sell other people's designs, but to call it your own when it's not, is disguisting!

The year is 2011, and what starts as a pervasive and inexplicable illness ends up as a zombie infestation that devastates the world's population. Taking the form of a biologist's journal found in the aftermath of the attack, this pulse-pounding, suspenseful tale of zombie apocalypse follows the narrator as he flees from city to countryside and heads north to Canada, where he hopes the undead will be slowed by the colder climate.

Easy listening. Best short book! It starts off feeling like movies; "Dawn of the Dead" and "I am Legend". I love how the audiobook adds noises like the banging of a zombie, who's trapped inside a fridge.
Then it crosses over to be like TV show, "The Walking Dead" and game, "Resident Evil 7". You get to meet all sorts of people in this quick read!
The end sounds like the idea and pitch to trailer, "Army of the Dead". But don't bother watching this movie unless you enjoy watching a whole lot of nothing.
