80"s setting
Reviewed: 11-01-16
This was interesting. It was set in the 80's, so there was a totally different attitude towards gay people, no condoms were used ever, and the word fidelity meant nothing. The MC was having sex with everyone he came across and plenty of vaseline was used!
Overall, it was entertaining and the narration was ok.

Pretty good story and narration

Good story, emotional, with great secondary characters. I loved seeing the guys getting their HEA, Tommy deserved it, after all angst and struggle of raising his brothers and sisters since his parents were druggies. I listened to the audiobook and I enjoyed the narration of Michael Stellman very much.

I loved the world building, the banter and bickering between MCs and all the little mysteries, which were connected some way with the bigger mystery.

Dan thinks about just driving, leaving the whole mess behind. He's got enough money. He could just arrange to get his stuff and his horse shipped to wherever he's going. Taking off is what he used to do when things got to be too much, and it worked pretty well, really.

Slow but very enjoyable story
Reviewed: 11-01-16
Enjoyable story, which was developed slowly but I didn't mind. I liked the characters and the setting. The first part had a lot of drama, the rest not that much. I would have loved more sexy times and Dan's indecision made me crazy but overall this was worth spending 16 hours listening. The ending was just the beginning of the love triangle, so I can't wait to get the next audiobook.

Humorous and sexy
Reviewed: 11-01-16
I enjoyed it but not as much as Crossroads. I mainly listened to the audiobook but I didn't like much Rod's voice, found it too nasally and fake. I appreciated the humor, the dirty talking and some hot sex scenes, but the family drama was a bit tiring.

But nothing moves as fast as Rand would like, and everyone has opinions, for example that he should keep certain pieces of himself quiet if he plans on making it in the Big Apple. Lovely story

This book was lovely and I enjoyed the narration.
I liked both MCs, especially Will, and I was happy with the ending. Rand got on my nerves with his choice to not tell Will certain things, especially the ones regarding Leah. Leah's part in this story was bigger than it should be and went too far. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Some people might call Avery Babineaux a prick. He's a hedgehog shifter from an old-money Louisiana family, with a penchant for expensive shoes and a reputation for being a judgmental snob. His attitude is why he and his fated mate are estranged. Not that Avery cares. He doesn't want to be mated to some blue-collar werewolf anyway. Or so he keeps telling himself.
