Different style of book
Reviewed: 03-25-22
it's definitely a different style of Litrpg but it's good the main characters are entertaining. it takes a second to get used to the pacing of the book but it is absolutely worth it. Can't wait for the next.

Story
Marstin Hardgrove was orphaned at a young age, forced to live on the streets, and needed to turn to thievery to survive. When a special job assigned to him by the Thieves’ Guild went awry, the guild leadership punished him with a beating, compelled him to eat dirt and rocks to soothe his hunger, and left him to die in an abandoned mine. Unbeknownst to the young thief, when he was forced to eat that handful of dirt and rocks…he also ended up swallowing a tiny dungeon crystal.

Its pretty good

I really liked the story, the whole premise is great. My only complaint is when they say the word Capillary. I have never heard it pronounced this way and I could be wrong on my end.
Don't let that stop you though it might even teach you a few things about your body.

Story
For those who reside in the outer regions of Aleria, the day of bestowal is what determines their destiny. It is the holy day of the Goddess. The day that allows those of age to step forward and receive their blessing, to embark on the path that she has chosen for them. To receive their Classification, which dictates their strength and ability. For those people, the holy day of bestowal represents fate itself. For Dante, it represents salvation.

Way to short

If you write a book this short, with this kind of amazing performance again, I feel like I will have to write angry letters on principle. Nobody wants that I have the handwriting of a 3yr old. Please for the love of all that is holy more is better.
Thank you for the start to what I'm assuming is going to be a beautiful world.

If he fails, the kingdom will be ripped apart, and Rezkin will have violated Rule 1 - to protect and honor his friends.

was not expecting any of this, that ending was totally nuts and I can't wait for book 2. It's a refreshing break from a hero story and a good laugh.

It's a good book but hard to listen. They all sound like whiney girls instead of badasses and nobility. Especially John Marsh, he is still awesome but geez is it hard to hear him talk.
