Story
Escaping the rat race and the lure of gold-digging women, wealthy businessman Vance Banning moves to a small, rural retreat, telling the townsfolk that he's an out-of-work carpenter. All he wants is peace, quiet, and to keep away from women. So the last thing he needs is a charitable neighbor, especially a beautiful, gracious, and persistent neighbor of the female persuasion, but there's something about Shane Abbott he just can't ignore.

Outstanding Narration!

This is Hallmark Movie worthy! I loved this one, I did the audible version and the narrator is so unbelievably good at changing his voice for each character's dialogue then back to his own for the narration parts (he even changed dialect for each character's region/country). Wow! The story was really great, it has all the feels and perfect for the holiday season. I didn't even mind the religious parts....it is, after all, a Christmas story and even I can appreciate that magic.

Don't narrate your own book

I think the narration of this book was the books biggest downfall. Rachel is a good writer but her performance should be left to the professionals. I'm not even sure if I really didn't like this book or if it was just listening to it that turned me off.

Story
Mistakes were made, okay? The moment I laid eyes on Kyle Kingston I knew he was a mistake. A satisfying, toe-curling, hair-pulling, best-night-of-my-life mistake, but a mistake all the same. I didn’t yet know his name, or who he was, but I knew he was a bad idea. I’m pregnant...and did I mention my baby daddy is both heir to a retail empire and impossible to get ahold of? I do what any girl would. I break into his grandfather’s retirement gala by telling the prissy gatekeeper Kyle’s my fiancé.

Another fantastically funny novel by Jana Aston! Jana is inside my brain when it comes to humor....twinning! See what I did there? BWAHAHAHAHA! Anyway, love the comedic style and the billionaire hotties she brings into my life. The only disappointment with this book was that it ended, I wish it was longer. BEST, BEST, BEST credit card fantasy moment (however wasted on Daisy since she clearly doesn't know how to use it!). Oh and the "D" diet...I can't stand it, hilarious. I had to share that little blurb with all my besties. Recommend every one of Jana's books if you love some super sexy moments with a lot of laughs on top. More, more, more, please. (narrators are some of my favorites)

Best True Crime Novel Ever Written!
Reviewed: 02-11-19
Outstanding! This is a must-read, I couldn't stop listening. I was creeped out completely and had a hard time sleeping. The author did an amazing job of divulging the gory details of this rapist/killer. It was disturbing and uncomfortable especially since I didn't realize they had recently arrested the GSK. I'm saddened the author did not live to experience the satisfaction of seeing him arrested, I believe her research was instrumental in his ultimate capture despite what government officials say. She asked all the right questions and kept pushing for more in this case. She seems like she was an extraordinary woman and I'm sorry she is gone, not only for her family but her fans as well. The narration was very well done as well, the book came to life.

Story
An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.

Mr. King never disappoints! Great story although very uncomfortable. I won't say any more about the story because you just have to read it! I will say that I've always been a big fan of Will Patton, his voice is unique, and he acts out the story instead of just reading it. I only have one complaint, and it's not a big one - Will's portrayal of Holly was a bit off. I didn't like the weird pausing speech he used. Maybe he was instructed to do that so she would sound skiddish but it was a little annoying. I hope Will Patton narrates other stories; I will definitely listen.

Lacey Terwilliger's shock and humiliation over her husband's philandering prompt her to add some bonus material to Mike's company newsletter: stunning Technicolor descriptions of the special brand of "administrative support" his receptionist gives him. The detailed mass e-mail to Mike's family, friends, and clients blows up in her face, and before one can say "instant urban legend", Lacey has become the pariah of her small Kentucky town and a media punch line....

I found this book funny and totally satisfying. The author spins a tale of a philandering S.O.B. that gets caught with his pants down. The characters are amazing, they are either very likable or very hatable. I read and re-read the letter she sent out to family and customers and fell on the floor laughing each time. The author made me laugh so many times. A couple of times I was just screaming yes out loud with no regard to my whereabouts. "AUDIBLE 20 "

I love this series even though the books are so long and overly wordy. I decided I would try audible for this one to see if that helped but the narrator sounds very old, she switched characters very well but imagine hearing your grandmother talk about sex. I recommend just reading it yourself. it really bugs me when the narrator does not fit the character.
