The last line in the blurb (which I read after I finished the book) is what should sell you on all of the Beka Bayou stories. "You might read above and think what? But does it matter? This is smut." There doesn't have to be a reason as long as the smut is good and let me tell you the smut is great!!

Not going to lie, I didn't expect the ogre of a man to be such a softy, but he is! Talk about a cinnamon roll! You even get plenty of that icing!

In a 24-hour span Morgan Daniels got more than he bargained for and even some stuff he could've never even hoped for. You can't forget the hot tub antics that had me begging for a hot tub. My dreams didn't come true but that is the thing with Ms. Bayou. She's happy to make all of your dreams come true!

I've come to associate Sirena Blue with Beka Bayou, and I am not mad about it. Her narrations aren't just sexy, they are enticing!

If you haven't met Beka Bayou yet, what are you waiting for?

Last note, I feel like I am very well versed in what LARP's are now and somehow that makes me feel like a champion. Did you need to know that? Nope, but you do now.

For those of you who put family above all else this is the series for you! Sometimes your family is the one you are born into and other times it is the family you make.

For Alvaro and Kendall, it is both. You see in book one of Secrets in Sawtooth that these two will not stop anything to keep their family safe. In Ruthless Revenge, book two the stakes are higher, and they still aren't playing with those who threaten their own.

Kendall is slowly becoming the matriarch of the family even if she doesn't see it yet. As a lawyer she's not above doing what needs to be done if it means making sure everyone is safe. Especially Alvaro.

After his loss in book one and with the way this book starts off you start to see the past coming back to haunt him. Getting more of Alvaro's backstory with not only his brother and father, but with his mom only amps this story up higher.

Just when you think the dust has settled and peace can be found a bigger force comes into play that could threaten everything that Kendall and Alvaro have been working towards.

I have to give my props to Lillie because it is exceedingly hard to keep my attention with the same characters throughout a book series. The usual receptiveness that can be found in other series is not found here which makes this one of my favorite series of the year so far.

Andrew Cortes did a wonderful job with his narration of every character. It is difficult for a male narrator to pull off a female voice, but he did it and he did it well.

The Mirror picks up exactly where Inheritance left off and I was excited to get back into the world of The Lost Bride Trilogy, until I wasn't.

The characters, the plot, and the story were all top notch but unfortunately as trilogies can do there was a lull somewhere around the middle that left me underwhelmed. Which is really hard for me to say as I have read almost every Nora Roberts trilogy that is out there.

With that being said, everything you loved about book one is present within these pages, and I am invested enough now in the brides to find out how this trilogy is going to end.

One thing I do wish we got more of was more Hester Dobbs. Yes, I know that sounds odd but all we got were temper tantrums. As a ghost she's ticked all the way off, and you'd think that more would come of that other than her diving off the side of a cliff every other night.

To conclude, I enjoyed it but if this was book one, I wouldn't be continuing on. As it were this is book two so I will be concluding the trilogy and hope the finale is something more to brag about.

Brittany Pressley did deliver one heck of a narration though!

To be honest, I hate reviewing books like this. It is a bunch of redacted and, but I can't tell you because it would give away A..B..C..

If you've been on the journey since Fourth Wing this book really wasn't as bad as people are making it out to be. Was it perfection? Absolutely not but when you get into a high fantasy series such as this there are always a few things you can expect. If you don't like them, then don't ever read a high fantasy series but it happens in every single one of them.

There are highs and lows with any series. How about if you don't like the first book and you like the second book even less, don't continue on to book three. Don't try the whole "I kept thinking it would get better." No, you wanted to whine about a book series you knew you wouldn't like from the first few pages in book one, but you continued.

There were dragons, a love that had its struggles and great friends who had your back. For me, that was enough. I know, shocking that I didn't go into explicit detail about not liking this one word that Violet said on Page 344, line 12.

And yes, I will be reading book 4 whenever it comes out.

You know what's better than a spicy book?
A spicy book with revenge!!!

William Evans might be one of the most unlikeable characters in a book I've ever read and for the longest time I kept saying to myself "COME ON, KYRIE?" but I trusted the process. Beka makes him beg and plead- amongst other things- before our guy here gets exactly what he deserves.

Don't worry there is plenty of fun to be had before that part... comes.

As for what that is, I guess you will have to read it for yourself and find out. Trust me, it is worth it. I don't think I've ever witch cackled in a smutty book before but there is a first time for everything.

This is my 3rd Beka Bayou book and my 2nd LARP book. I'd say Beka has popped my cherry on a couple of things, but I can't wait to see what else is to come as Beka finds her next conquest.

Sirena Blu narrated this thing so deliciously well! I look forward to listening to more of her work soon.

Okay, J.C. Bryer I see what you did. Making me fall for a character I had no plans on actually falling for.

Eyan is worth it.
I know!
Stick with me here.
Trust the process.
I promise.

This was the conclusion to the Keep Series, and it was much more than I was expecting it to be. Lila finally got all that she wanted, and Bear still holds my entire heart, but I've finally come around to all of these boys. Even if it took five books to do it.

This entire series deserves way more love than it receives. I hope if you take a chance on book one you love the world that J.C. Bryer created as much as I do.

And a big thanks to Michael Katz for narrating these characters so well.

Belle Blakely broke my Incubus cherry, and I am here for it!

S T O R Y ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

N A R R A T I O N 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧

This is my kind of cozy romance. The craving, the angst, the yearning, the dirty talk! My gods this woman had me on the edge of my seat more than a time or two. That is all thanks to Lochran. Boy might have been a cinnamon roll for Lex, but jeez did he know what to do with his tongue! Get your head out of the gutter, I meant his linguistic skills were *chefs kiss*!!!

Okay... I don't just mean his linguistic skills!

For this being such a short listen, the plot, word building, and character's storylines were all fully developed. I never felt like I was left wanting like I am in some shorter monster romances.

Our girl Lex was by no means a soft FMC! From the very first pages you realize this is not a woman who needs a man to save her. She can do that on her own.

Then House! Yes! I need House. You will see what that is about as it unfolds and lastly, Billy. Lex's best friend is what the good best friends are made of. Fearsome, protective, and definitely out to get a laugh at Lex's expense.

Bridget Bordeaux and Jake Bordeaux are phenomenal narrators but hearing them as Lex and Lochran only amped up that love I have for them.

To wrap this up, I loved everything about this book from start to finish. If you like your cozy paranormal romances with buckets of spice on top this one's for you!

Now, I have to say this, or I would be doing Billy a huge disservice! The girl needs a book! I don't know what Belle has in the pipeline, but I am itching for her story so hard!!

J.C. Bryer said it best herself love bears all !!

For me Bear has always been the one I clung to through the Keep Series. After four books I still can't tell you why but getting his back story only amped up the love I have for him.

As with all of the books in the Keep series this book is not all spice and everything nice. There were moments while reading this book that I just wanted to reach out and hug Bear. To tell him it would all be worth it in the end.

Because it was, without being spoilery the ride is worth it.

For the spicy readers, don't you worry there is plenty in here that will have your toes curling and that is before the "good stuff" even begins.

And a mention to Michael Katz for narrating this entire series and carrying us through every heartbreaking, laugh, and moment of love shared between all of these characters.

I am really looking forward to book 5, Hold to see what comes next.

One of my favorite things about books is how they can surprise you when you least expect it. Take Dangerous Loyalty for example. We've all read stories like this with similar themes, but Lillie Locklyn took it and made it her own with characters you don't immediately love.

Yeah, weird huh? Just like in life we don't immediately trust and adore every person we meet. Sometimes that takes time, and Locklyn wrote a story with real characters with real emotions who had second thoughts and were skeptical about the rabbit hole they were about to fall into.

Kendall wasn't the defense attorney we've seen before. She did her job well, but she also worked the shady side of things for a man that has been like family to her. She did these things with good intentions because she was helping the man who had been like a father to her.

Enter Alvaro, not quite what she is used to, Kendall has to try extra hard with him. Not just keeping her feelings for him at bay but also getting him to trust her.

As the worlds of defense attorney and criminal (but not quite) combine and lives are put on the line these two as well as the rest of the Moreno family will have to work together to ensure everyone's safety.

The story itself was brilliant, and it kept me on my toes trying to guess what was going to happen next and if everything would actually work out as it should. A huge reason for that is Andrew Cortes who narrated this book with skill and a certain craft you don't see often.

The Secrets in Sawtooth series is just getting started and I am looking forward to seeing what comes next for Kendall and Alvaro as well as everyone else in the Moreno world.

Okay, I am going to be really honest here. I had to google LARP because I wasn't entirely sure what it was or what I was getting into. Now, I know and I kind of love it!!

This is my second Beka Bayou book but my first one in audiobook. Sirena Blu did a stunning job with this narration. Not just because her voice gave Beka a sexy edge but because she was able to narrate each individual character so well with a clear distinction. That is such a big thing for me when it comes to audiobooks!

As for the story, it was HOT! Simply put. Jameson gets everything he desired on this trip even if it was rather unexpected. Temptation waits for no man and when Beka offers herself up who is he to say no.

A steamy and short listen that will leave both hands free so that you are able to tend to other needs that might arise.
