Excellent book with principles to live by

Excellent book & performance 👌 here’s a couple take-aways in particularly stuck with me:
(1) He didn’t just wake up as ‘Nelson Mandela’ one day… He had many role models throughout his life journey with men and women of great integrity that influenced and helped shape who he became. So that reminds me that every choice we make, however big or small, makes an impact on the trajectory of our lives and those around us, especially the younger one’s. By operating with a foundation of integrity and moral conviction, may be influencing the next Nelson Mandela without even knowing it.
(2) He was dedicated to the struggle for liberation and freedom for his people with full conviction to the point where, when facing the Rivonia trial, he was ready & willing to die (by hanging), knowing that it would help the cause. Damn. That hit me… And to be clear, I’m not promoting just dying or being a martyr for the cause… He arrived at this point in his 40s, after life-long dedication to leadership in the ANC (African National Congress) who were operating with specific & effective means by which to achieve their goal.
So I ask myself what do I have full conviction for? And how does that play-out on a daily basis, in this reality we find ourselves in... Especially with the increasingly technologic-reality coming towards us, where symbols and perceptions of reality are often presented in a controlled narrative form.

In-depth look from an artist who changed the game
Reviewed: 10-15-19
In-depth look into the creative process of one of the most influential artists of our time. There was hip-hop before and after Rakim. I feel like his dedication to the craft/artistry gave hip-hop a quantum leap. As a lyricist, this was very inspiring and insightful. Would recommend for any creative individual, but especially a young artist engaged with the lineage of hip-hop.

Story
This collection of traditional Lakota stories is dedicated to children of all nations and races. The stories are a giveaway, a way of returning the gift of the stories preserved by Lakota elders and grandparents to pass on the traditions and perspectives of their people. These stories, usually told on winter evenings, are intended to teach proper behavior or a moral lesson, but without the narrow moralizing of many familiar fables.

Best storytelling I've ever heard on audible or audiobook. HIGHLY recommend for children and adults. The stories have deep wisdom and the storytelling performance and character voices are excellent. I just purchased the author's other audiobook and can't wait to listen.

Great book! Very throughout on many interesting aspects of music

Overall great book! My only complaint is that it seems liken some of the writing was a little sarcastic but the reader seemed to have a general sarcastic tone as his style and read certain parts in a sarcastic tone that weren’t written to be sarcastic and subtly changed the interpretation of the material in a way that it wasn’t exactly intended, at least from my perspective.
