Historia
From a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter at The New York Times comes the explosive story of the rise of the processed food industry and its link to the emerging obesity epidemic. Michael Moss reveals how companies use salt, sugar, and fat to addict us and, more important, how we can fight back.

Should be required reading.
Revisado: 09-01-17
I've been a label reader for years since I have food sensitivities, but I didn't realize the lengths to which food manufacturers, like the tobacco industry, have gone to addict us to foods that are best for their bottom line. A must read, good for a group who can discuss and disseminate the information.

Predictable story
Revisado: 02-04-16
The story was pretty predictable, so not much edge of your seat, if you're into that kind of thing. I would have given a better performance review, but the music that was added was OVER THE TOP! It was hard to hear the dialogue because of the music. I don't know why they insist on adding the background sounds, especially on top of dialogue. If the narrator is good, you don't need the sound effects. Anyway, if you can get it on sale, it's fun, but I don't know that it's worth full price.

A little different for C. S. Lewis
Revisado: 01-08-13
There is always a moral to his stories, but I found this one very interesting and different from his typical fare. I am going to look into more of his lesser known books and hope to be pleasantly surprised by them as well.

Not only for teens
Revisado: 12-24-12
The Virals books are by the Bones author and are aimed at teens and young adults, of which I am neither, but, as with Harry Potter, I really enjoyed them anyway. Having enhanced capabilites seems to be a popular theme for stories these days, and I especially like the connection with wolves. Give it a try. I would suggest reading the first Virals book first, if you haven't already. I hope Reichs writes more of these.
