Story
When a planet-destroying Delver suddenly appears in the sky of Detritus and vanishes just as suddenly, FM knows that the last free human society got lucky. Her Skyward Flight companion, Spensa, figured out how to draw this Delver away, but it won’t be so easy next time. The forces of the Galactic Superiority will be back - and if the Defiant Defense Force can’t figure out a way to escape the planet, humanity’s destruction is only a matter of time.

Brilliant naration, as always. The partnership between the two authors gave this story a realistic feeling of a different character's perspective but kept the personalities and overall feel of the story perfectly in tact. Can't wait to read the next one!

Story
"Have you ever felt caught between the tension of a day job and a dream job? That gap between what you have to do and what you’d love to do? I have. At first I thought I was the only one who felt that way, but then I started to talk to people and realized we’re becoming the “I’m, but” generation. When we talk about what we do for a living we inevitably say, 'I’m a teacher, but I want to be an artist.'"

Very Cool Read

What did you love best about Quitter?
I find Jon Acuff to be a pretty hilarious guy. On top of being a very informational read, his jokes within the book were pretty great.
Any additional comments?
So, some people complain that Acuff talks too much about God in this book. My question to those readers is: Do you normally purchase things without doing research first? If so, I've got a beautiful piece of acreage to sell you next to a landfill. Author of "Stuff Christians Like" didn't give away that he might be a Christian? All right, the book is about dreams, not God, you say, but let's be real for a second. We're talking about philosophies to making your dream happen. A person's worldview is inevitably going to filter into their philosophy. So, do your research, I guess, and maybe figure out why God offends you so much.
I happened to enjoy this book. Acuff reading his own book is pretty neat, and I really appreciated when he'd set down the book and go off script. I feel like I purchased something a little extra, getting his deeper explanations into what he was saying. Some people complain about his reading speed, but I didn't notice anything different about how he's talking. The book itself is a great read, and I'd recommend it to anyone who isn't following what they really want to do with their life.
