Revisado: 08-25-22
John A Hoda is a wonderful person, awesome investigator, and a top notch pi business coach, and he's hit a home run with "My Favorite Detective Stories". Anyone who listens to the podcast will enjoy it, especially private investigators and crime fiction writers. John demonstrates his interviewing skills throughout each episode. His style, tone, energy, and his overall personality are fascinating, and I don't want an episode to end when the time is up. John knows how to open the door for his guests to allow them to give listeners a great show, and he demonstrates intellect and experience in his ability to tease out certain details and aspects that are not only entertaining, but valuable.

Erika Krouse does a great job telling her story in "Tell Me Everything", and Gabra Zackman narrated the story wonderfully as she seems to do with all her work. Erika has beautifully painted a picture of how her personal story connects with other facets of her life. I think anyone who loves a good story will enjoy "Tell Me Everything", and I am confident you will enjoy the Audible version.

Historia
On a snowy winter evening in 1982, 21-year-old Mary Brown accepted a ride from a handsome stranger in the resort town of Breckenridge, Colorado. The trip ended with her brutally beaten and raped. Mary survived, but her predator's violence had only just begun. After 10 years in prison, Tom Luther was released a far more vicious criminal. Soon, from the Rockies to West Virginia, like Ted Bundy, Luther enticed a chain of women into his murderous trap.

Great Book and Wonderful Narration!
Citizen Jane, written by James Dalessandro, and narrated by Kevin Pierce, is among the best books I've experienced as a reader/listener. The book flows naturally, making the story easy to follow. I've listened to the audio book 3 times now. Why 3 times? It's that good. Kevin Pierce is the greatest narrator I have ever been privileged to hear, and he masterfully brings this story to life. I hope to see and hear more from this author and narrator together in the near future. As a Law Enforcement professional, I'm impressed with the work was done in this case, and especially the research done by the author. I could go on and on about how impressive this book, the author and the narrator, but I will simply advise you to purchase it and experience the story so wonderfully researched, written and told.

Great articulation, lawyering & narrating!
Revisado: 02-26-19
As a Law Enforcement officer I love this book!
As a Private investigator I think the investigation narrative is amazing and love every single moment of the book.
As a preacher/ teacher/ speaker I must repent:
I'm envious/ covetous/ in awe with the ability of the author and the narrator. (1.) I think Officer Nikell has an amazing story telling ability that obviously comes from his passion for his and my Savior and Lord, his empathy & compassion for the innocent and his well honed skills as an Law Enforcement Officer. (2.) Officer Nickell and his colleagues at the D.A.'s Office have been God sent to the citizens in their area of service, as can clearly be gathered from Nickells' articulated experience. And, (3.) Kevin Peirce has what I believe to be the greatest monopoly of all time on greatest ability to narrate, captivate and articulate with his God-gifted voice! And I admire Peirce's dedication to exercise, hone and focus his ability to narrate a story! Once again, I have read/listened to another AWESOME book!!! Finally, GREAT policing!!! GREAT LAWYERING!!!
GREAT narration!!!

Awesome! Real, emotional and insightful!
Revisado: 02-21-19
I Loved this book - "A CLOCKWORK MURDER: THE NIGHT A TWISTED FANTASY BECAME A DEMENTED REALITY ". Steve Jackson is now one of my favorite authors of true crime stories. His experience as a prosecuting attorney and his obvious passion for the victims of crime are obvious as I read/listened to the book. Kevin Peirce didn't disappoint either. He's a great narrator!!!--my favorite of them all. Steve Jackson has brilliantly told the true & horrific story in such a way that readers/listeners can vividly see a picture of important aspects of crime/violence and the awful fallout of such heinous acts. The clear depictions include:
1. Any individual crime leaves multiple victims in its wake - the dead and the living.
2. The living victims are made up of family, community, investigating officers, attorneys, and anyone affected by the loss of precious and innocent lives.
3. American Jurisprudence is not perfect, but it's still the greatest fact finding, justice seeking, etc. system in the world. The warriors in uniform and on each side of the courtroom ensure that our citizens are protected from wrongful convictions, yet they ensure that criminals are not allowed to commit heinous crimes without being prosecuted and punished.
The two young men who perpetrated the attack and murder which robbed a loving family of their child and many others of her precious life and presence are clear examples of the existence of evil. Jackson did a massive job of sharing the details which ultimately emerged into a fantasy turned reality. I could imagine every victim I've served in my career as I read and listened to Jackson's/Peirce brilliantly tell this story. I'd seriously love to say more about how much I love this book and how it rekindles my passion for investigating crime, finding criminals and bringing them to justice, and how I admire the warriors who try such cases. And I would love to say more about how Jackson and Peirce seem to have a majestic way of getting reader and listener into a front row seat to see into the pain of victims, the evil of criminals, the warrior spirits of attorneys, and the beautiful life which has ended so unnecessarily. But you HAVE TO READ/ LISTEN FOR YOURSELF! If you are not on the front line daily, you will want to be after your encounter with this book and the people whose lives are forever changed by the details in the story.
