Story
I’m the guy you call when you need to impress your overbearing family, your boss, or your ex. Yeah, I’m a male escort, but not just any escort, I’m the escort. The one with a mile-long waiting list and a pristine reputation that’s very well-deserved. I’m the guy who’ll make you feel beautiful, desired, and worshipped...all for a steep price. I’m hired to make you shine, and I always deliver. I’ll be whatever you want me to be for one night—except my true self. This is just a job, a role I play to earn a paycheck.

Very poor narrative. Minimal passion in the voices especially the female. It’s taken several try’s to finish the stories. I’m on number 2 now and will try to finish, I hate not finishing these stories. I will remember these narrators for the future. Sorry

Story
Max Wolff is a committed soldier of the Reich. So when he is sent home wounded, only to discover that his mother is sheltering two young Jewish women in their home, he is outraged. His mother’s act of mercy is a gross betrayal of everything Max stands for. He has dedicated his life to Nazism, fighting to atone for the shame of his anti-Hitler father’s imprisonment. It’s his duty to turn the sisters over to the Gestapo. But he hesitates, and the longer Max fails to do his duty, the harder it becomes.

It was nice to hear this war story from a different point of view. Mary Jane Wells can read anything!! She’s excellent. Kind of sad but I’m sure things were worse than that.

Story
Sydney Shaw, like every single woman in New York, has terrible luck with dating. She’s seen it all: men who lie in their dating profile, men who stick her with the dinner bill, and worst of all, men who can't shut up about their mothers. But finally, she hits the jackpot. Her new boyfriend is utterly perfect. He's charming, handsome, and works as a doctor at a local hospital. Sydney is swept off her feet. Then the brutal murder of a young woman—the latest in a string of deaths across the coast—confounds police. The primary suspect? A mystery man who dates his victims before he kills them.

Story
Duchess Day Radley is a 13-year-old self-proclaimed outlaw. Rules are for other people. She is the fierce protector of her five-year-old brother, Robin, and the parent to her mother, Star, a single mom incapable of taking care of herself, let alone her two kids. Walk has never left the coastal California town where he and Star grew up. He may have become the chief of police, but he’s still trying to heal the old wound of having given the testimony that sent his best friend, Vincent King, to prison decades before. And he's in overdrive protecting Duchess and her brother.

Story
Please note this is the third and final book in a trilogy, and this blurb contains spoilers for books one and two. Start the series with Locked Up Liars and Solitary Sinners before reading on! When a judge declared Heath guilty and sentenced him to death row, everything we’d been fighting for went up in flames. We have no excuses. No appeals. No freedom. Now, there’s only one way out. One way left for him to avoid a lethal injection in his arm. Escape.

Male speaker was too overwhelming- too strong a voice for what the characters were. He was more like a banker or executive.

Story
Newly minted doctor Jane McGill is in hell. Not literally, of course. But between her drug addict patients, sleepless nights on call, and battling wits with the sadistic yet charming Sexy Surgeon, Jane can’t imagine an afterlife much worse than her first month of medical internship at County Hospital. And then there’s the devil herself: Jane’s senior resident Dr. Alyssa Morgan. When Alyssa becomes absolutely hell-bent on making her new interns pay tenfold for the deadly sin of incompetence, Jane starts to worry that she may not make it through the year with her soul or her sanity still intact.

Not your usual Freida McFadden book. It was a nice change. Being a nurse, I have to take some issue with the portrayal of nurses. We always tried to help interns and residents - unless they were creeps! I’m getting ready to read the next one

Story
Judith Hampton was as beautiful as she was proud and loyal. Her dear Scottish friend from childhood was about to give birth, and Judith had promised to be at her side. But there was another reason for the journey from her bleak English home to the Highlands: to meet the father she had never known, the Laird Maclean. Nothing prepared her, however, for the sight of the Scottish barbarian who was to escort her into his land...Iain Maitland, laird of his clan, a man more powerfully compelling than any she had ever encountered.

Good story, interesting characters. Did not like the narrator at all! Rosalind Landor or Mary Jane Wells would have been much better. This reader did not do well with the characters. She had a lilt that was annoying. Hard to get to know the characters. I don’t think I can read more books with this reader. Loved the story but couldn’t get into the story.
