Love this book. The lady reading it has a very high and strident voice but she does a good job.

Story
When someone makes a present of a fer-de-lance - the dreaded snake - to Nero Wolfe, Archie Goodwin knows he's close to solving two apparently unrelated murders. As for Wolfe, he's playing snake charmer in a case more deadly than a cobra and whistling a seductive tune he hopes will catch a killer with poison in his heart.

Story
Before Stephanie can even step foot off Flight 127, Hawaii to Newark, she’s knee deep in trouble. Her dream vacation turned into a nightmare, and she’s flying back to New Jersey solo. Worse still, her seatmate never returned to the plane after the L.A. layover. Now he’s dead, in a garbage can, waiting for curbside pickup. His killer could be anyone. And a ragtag collection of thugs and psychos, not to mention the FBI, are all looking for a photograph the dead man was supposed to be carrying.

How do I hate this book? Let me count the ways. *spoiler alert *
Reviewed: 04-16-20
Stephanie goes from endearing to cheating loser.
1. STEPHANIE. She cheats on Morrelli constantly with Ranger. And yes it’s cheating. When the other person doesn’t know and is hurt and upset when they find out, its cheating. Gross. Most of us wanted her to dance with Ranger, but not like this. Just gross. And the fact that she has the balls to be jealous of Morrelli is too much at this point. DISGUSTING HYPOCRISY. Anddddd whyyyyy is she still completely incompetent, unable to bring in any skip on her own without SOMEONE to go with her or in most cases do it for her and let her have the credit? Ranger and his men do 75% of her job for her.
2. JOYCE moves in with Stephanie while looking for something. Why? Because she says so and Stephanie is the dumbest person alive at this point. Her worst enemy who screwed her husband just moves in while fta and she cant even bring her in.
3. LULA’s fascination with buggy who is their fta is just stupid. He is stupid, the whole thing is just stupid filler. And what they have done to her character is annoying. She went from being sassy to being just stupid and being so easily influenced its just dumb.
4. MORRELLI- since when did the jealous, alpha male Morrelli become such a beta? Him and Ranger get into a fistfight when he realizes Stephanie has been screwing him too. But does he stop seeing her? No. Does he stop sleeping with her? No. Does he even confront her about it? No. I expect Ranger to not care but Morrelli? Wth is happening to my favorite book characters?
In summary, i dont even like these people anymore. Im going to give one more book a chance. But if JE continues like this i am out. Its just too dumb to believe anymore.

Great books

I love the books but HATE the added music the throw in at story changes. Its jarring and an annoying added sound to the audiobook being read. I wish they would just stop with the music.
