Story
Forest child they call me. It is within the woods that I find solace and feel the magic of my ancestors. For I am a Druid. One who can trace her roots from the very first to call the Isle of Skye home. The isle draws many to its magical shores. It drew him. Imposing, bold, and handsome. We fell hard and fast that summer. Then he left with the tide to the city.

An old flames return brings back buried memories

Ariah has been around to support the other Druids of Skye through their troubles, but she never thought to be involved because she is more of a pacifist. But when Killian, the man who ripped her heart out, returns to Skye, she is thrown into the fray. Killian returned to Skye to finally live his life the way he wants by winning Ariah back, not knowing that his world was about to get a whole lot more complicated. Will the love they shared be able to be repaired & possibly survive the danger that has been around every corner of Skye?
In this installment of Donna Grant’s Skye Druid series, part of her larger Dark World, we learn that Corann, the leader of the Skye Druids before Rhona, tried to prepare them for what might come. What the Druids are learning is that they all have a part to play, even when they thought they didn’t, like Ariah. When will we see what part Callum & Kirsi will play? And it is not just the Skye Druids who will be pivotal, the Knights – Sabryn, Carlyle, Finn & Saber, will all be needed to fight this evil that is controlling & manipulating other Druids into doing their bidding.
Yet again, Donna Grant has delivered with a story that drags you in & consumes you! She gave us another piece of the Skye Druids saga, while revealing that there are more pieces to be uncovered. Will we get to find out more about Callum’s curse next? Or will we find out what happened to Carlyle’s father? Will we ever find out the story behind Saber? I will be eagerly anticipating learning whose story is next, while impatiently waiting for all the rest!

Story
The Rhys who has existed for centuries is gone. Stripped of his ability to shift forms, Rhys can no longer embody the majestic, powerful dragon he was at birth. Cut off from his heritage by one of his own, this Dragon King must remain a man, haunted by demons who torment his every waking moment. The darkness would swallow him whole, except a woman so beautiful and haunted becomes the one beam of light in his world.

They needed each other more than they knew

Rhys is the lovable, sarcastic, argumentative King we have all come to know and love. He has lost something that has changed him, but has found Lily. Lily lost her family, and herself, by choosing the wrong man. Now that she has found Rhys, she is starting to become the woman she used to be. With Lily’s ex and the King’s enemies against them, Rhys & Lily have a lot to overcome. I am a long time reader of Donna Grant and am re-reading the books and am enjoying the books even more the second (or third) time around. The characters and stories that Donna Grant has created paint a world of danger, magic & love that we, her readers, get to inhabit for a while.
