Faultless Representation of Moriarty
Reviewed: 03-13-22
This was an incredible twist on the classic Holmes stories, making Moriarty the consultant we follow as he commits crimes. Narrated perfectly, it is a must-have for anyone who enjoys Holmes, Moriarty, or both.

Story
P.G. Wodehouse documented the lives of the inimitable Jeeves and Wooster for nearly sixty years, from their first appearance in 1915 ("Extricating Young Gussie") to his final completed novel (Aunts Aren't Gentlemen) in 1974. These two were the finest creations of a novelist widely proclaimed to be the finest comic English writer by critics and fans alike. Now, forty years later, Bertie and Jeeves return in a hilarious affair of mix-ups and mishaps.

A sweet tribute

A true to Wodehouse tribute to the original stories. Very heartfelt and sweet. Though lacking a certain whatsit that can’t be replicated, I still enjoyed the story.

Story
All the zany Wodehouse characters are here: Bertie, Gussie Fink-Nottle, Madeline Bassett, and Aunt Dahlia. All the humorous chaos of misunderstandings, puns, and pranks are present: someone must hand out prizes at the Market Snodsbury Grammar School, a lovers' spat finds Bertie engaged to Madeline, and a hunger strike causes the cook to give notice. The inevitable rescue by Jeeves, brilliantly conceived and executed, averts disaster and saves nitwit Bertie Wooster.

Some Rough Audio but Overall Wonderful
Reviewed: 10-02-20
The audio is a little tough at times, but Jonathan Cecil does a remarkable job narrating and bringing the story to life. I’d recommend him despite the age of the recording.

Know your Holmes Before You Listen
Reviewed: 08-10-20
Wonderful performances from everyone in the cast, but the stories are easier to follow if you know them going in. While they adapted them very well for radio, details were changed and the plot can sometimes get misconstrued amidst all the action. If you know the Holmes stories well, this will be a great addition to your library. If not, I would read them first before listening.
