I have been listening to as much gay themed fantasy fiction as I can. As someone who has been starving in a desert without it for so long I am soo happy to see there is more and more on the market. Incarnate by Justin Schuelke has some great new perspectives on the supernatural and the paranormal world. For me personally I felt a little dragged along through most of the book. With the idea of the premise I felt like there were some really cool opertunities to explore some Incarnates and thier abilities that never really paid off. the love story was cute but sort of came out of no where feeling more like it was already bloomed with out ever developing. it is hard to say I didn't like this book, so rather I feel like I wanted to like it more. The reader did an excellent job and I would definitely listen to more books read by Tyler Schuelke.

Story
Lirael has never felt like a true daughter of the Clayr. Abandoned by her mother, ignorant of her father's identity, Lirael resembles no one else in her large extended family living in the Clayr's glacier. She doesn't even have the Sight, the ability to See into the present and possibly futures, that is the very birthright of the Clayr.

Blue herself never sees them - not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her. His name is Gansey, and Blue soon discovers that he is a rich student at Aglionby, the local private school. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as Raven Boys, they can only mean trouble. But Blue is drawn to Gansey, in a way she can't entirely explain.

Will Patton is one of the best readers I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. This story is compelling, intriguing and carries with it exactly the sort of sense of adventure that you often hope for in good fiction but rarely get. Maggie Stiefvater is a master of her craft and I highly recomend this story to anyone of any age.

Story
Every High School has their social outcasts. The band nerds, the math geeks, the chess club, the girl that chews her hair, but at Butler High, even the creepy nose picker in the chess club is more popular than Caleo Anima. No matter what he did, his pale skin, snow white hair, and piercing blue eyes always made him an easy target. He used to think that the only way things could get worse would be if someone found out that he was gay, but that isn't even the tip of the iceberg of problems after a mysterious stranger shows up and changes Caleo's life forever.
