Mirren’s beloved great-aunt Violet is seriously ill. With no sign of the cherished volume online, Mirren falls into the fascinating world of rare books. From London to snowy Hay-on-Wye and Edinburgh’s cobbled streets, she chases leads from bookshop to bookshop—and bumps into mysterious, charming Theo, who, unbeknownst to her, is searching for the same book for reasons of his own…

Charming story that felt so relatable and honest. Family, desires, disappointment and hope. Always a happy ending, but never an easy one.

I’d skip this one. It’s well voiced and you think it may be interesting , but not this one .

Suspenseful, Interesting Characters, Engaging

The story definitely kept me interested, wanting more, wanting to figure out the mystery. It turned out darker than I had hoped, always a hopeless romantic! The story also felt a little too similar to Ruth Ware's "In a dark, dark wood." That was distracting. Otherwise, captivating mystery.

So you want to narrate. Great,. Let me be the first to congratulate you. It's about time. If you've been thinking about this for a long time, I don't know what took you so long. This is not as hard as people say. This is not a get-rich-quick scheme, and it does require some work on your part. I want to show you how you can begin to be a great narrator, make a lot of sales, supplement your income, and live a life with residual income forever.

Story
When Marlo is unceremoniously ghosted by her part-time lover, she decides she’ll need to avoid the whole Christmas season. That is actually pretty easy in this country, because it’s so hot and so far away from anything that means Christmas to her. But Marlo’s flatmate Alex is determined to lift her out of her grinch slump and convince her that Christmas Down Under may be unfamiliar, but exactly what she needs to start her life on a new course.

This book is brilliantly narrated. The fears/vices quite relatable. The humor was timely. And the specifically unique characters, memorable. I am charmed.
