I’m an Apple person. This book was a beautiful history lesson. I remember where I was when each one of his products was released, from the IPod to the ICloud. I loved them all. I was also very surprised about the birth of Pixar. What I particularly loved about this book is that it showed how Steve Jobs poured his life into his work just to give us these products that change the world. He knew that he would be leaving this world early so he was a hyper focused. It’s a very sad that he made poor choices about his health. But he had to live his life on his own terms. I would recommend this book to anyone. It’s an amazing read.

I love this book. I retired from my job and wanted to start my own business. However, I was always a little unsure. But the little voice inside me would not let it go. After reading this book I realized that was on the right track. I must continue to reach for and work on my goals as long as I have life in me. Tyler Perry is wonderful. As a man of faith, he uses lots of scriptures in this book to keep you encouraged. I would recommend this book for anybody who is struggling to bring their dreams to fruition.

Sixteen-year-old Starr Carter moves between two worlds: the poor neighborhood where she lives and the fancy suburban prep school she attends. The uneasy balance between these worlds is shattered when Starr witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood best friend Khalil at the hands of a police officer. Khalil was unarmed. Soon afterward, his death is a national headline. Some are calling him a thug, maybe even a drug dealer and a gangbanger. Protesters are taking to the streets in Khalil’s name.
