Mr. Connelly, Please write more in this genre!

Great series! So much so that I hope Connelly writes a new book in this genre. The story was way better than a lot of horror / ghosts books I've listened to by authors who specialize in this genre. The acting and sound design were top notch as well.

I can't figure out the popularity of this book.

This book has all the depth of a bad 80's action film. You can tell it really wants to be dark and twisted, but it reads like the work of a teenage goth kid. I couldn’t even finish it. I felt the narration was a distraction as well. The woman was tolerable, but the guy was trying way too hard. Didn’t feel natural at all. In their defense, they weren’t working with good material.

The narrator makes it tough to get through.

It's tough to judge the value of the stories due to the narrator. Maybe it's just me, but I found the performance to be very distracting.

Joy Osmanski's narration is very distracting.

Would you try another book from Paul Tremblay and/or Joy Osmanski?

I would try another Tremblay book, but will not listen to another Osmanski narrated book.

How could the performance have been better?

Osmanski's male voices completely pull me out of the story. They sound comical. The overall tone of the narration comes off as bratty and I feel it is a really bad match for the story. I would love to hear the story again with another narrator.
