Story
Performance artists Caleb and Camille Fang dedicated themselves to making great art. But when an artist's work lies in subverting normality, it can be difficult to raise well-adjusted children. Just ask Buster and Annie Fang. For as long as they can remember, they starred (unwillingly) in their parents' madcap pieces. But now that they are grown up, the chaos of their childhood has made it difficult to cope with life outside the fishbowl of their parents' strange world.

Straight forward but quirky and interesting. I laughed out loud, gasped, sat in my car to keep listening, and yelled at my dash. Excellent narrator.

Story
Alicia Berenson’s life is seemingly perfect. A famous painter married to an in-demand fashion photographer, she lives in a grand house with big windows overlooking a park in one of London’s most desirable areas. One evening, her husband, Gabriel, returns home late from a fashion shoot, and Alicia shoots him five times in the face and then never speaks another word. Alicia’s refusal to talk, or give any kind of explanation, turns a domestic tragedy into something far grander, a mystery that captures the public imagination and casts Alicia into notoriety.

I avoided buying this book because I felt like it was being forced on me. Forceful marketing is suspicious. I hated the main character— whiny and stupid. The actual silent patient might have been interesting, but most of the book (or the part I made it through) is about that whiny, stupid man.

Kept my interest from the start. There are many twists that occur, but the production is well done and I only became as confounded as the reader is supposed to be.
