Real men don’t have depression and go to therapy - or, at least they don’t admit it. Loved the characters and the focus on mental health, but the ending felt very rushed.

I was so hopeful!

I really struggled to get into this book. After reading the first in the series I was really excited about it, but I felt like this one was less composed? I didn't find myself to be interested until the last 13 chapters or so.

Lots of ups and downs

This book was a bit of a rollercoaster. I was really hooked at the beginning and then the pace slowed drastically to the point where it was soooo predictable by the end. There were moments I was waiting for that almost never came. Also, some of the language used is overselling it.
However, it was exceptionally relatable to see a main character that suffered from anxiety and depression. I appreciate the depths reached in that area of characterization.

Love the Concept of the Story

Love the story overall! More development of character relationships would have been great. The reading could have been less monotone at times, but I loved the authenticity of the accents of some characters.

Loved this! It was so nice to read a love story with no negative racial stereotypes attached! We need more stories like this one! Talk about representation. Will certainly be reading all other books by Farrah Rochon!
