Story
In Washington Township, Michigan, on Valentine's Day, 2007, Stephen Grant filed a missing persons report on his beloved wife, Tara. The stay-at-home father of two was beside himself with despair. Why would Tara abandon him and their family? Was she involved with another man? Stephen's frantic, emotional search for Tara made national headlines, and the case was featured on Dateline among other television shows and news outlets. But key elements in Stephen's story still weren't adding up....

All around amazing

I really got a sense of who Stephen was as a person by the way it was written and performed. I really felt that I knew how he thought, it was amazing. The performance was great, the book was superbly written, and it is one crazy story.

Vague

If you have already heard of Dean Corll and gone down an internet rabbit hole, don’t even bother with this book. You can learn much more doing a few hours of research rather than listening to eight hours of vagueness. The whole book glosses over every interaction Dean has with his conspirators as well as victims. It was tremendously disappointing. I expected to learn more and that was not the case.

Blown Away

The narrator is amazing, but the book blew me away. I rarely ever read fiction but have been in the mood for some psych thrillers as of late and this is the third I’ve listened to. I commented to my spouse that psych thrillers tend to have a predictable story line and it frustrated me. This book does not. I was amazing through and through.
