Story
Across the Four Lands, peace has reigned for generations. But now, in the far north, an unknown enemy is massing. More troubling than the carnage is the strange and wondrous power wielded by the attackers—a breed of magic unfamiliar even to the Druid order. Fearing the worst, the High Druid dispatches a diplomatic party under the protection of the order’s sworn guardian, Dar Leah, to confront the mysterious, encroaching force and discover its purpose.

Just doesn't have the flair of all of the other books in the series. Did pick up later in the book, maybe the next one will be better.

Story
Long ago, so the Storyteller claimed, the evil god Torak sought dominion and drove men and Gods to war. But Belgrath the Sorcerer led men to reclaim the Orb that protected the West. So long as it lay at Riva, the prophecy went, men would be safe. That was only a story, and Garion did not believe in magic dooms, even though the man without a shadow had haunted him for years.

Story
As a Knight of the Word, John Ross has struggled against the tireless dark forces of the Void for 25 years. A rootless wanderer scarred as deeply by the magic he wields as by the unspeakable horrors he has witnessed in its service, Ross is driven by dreams that show the world reduced to blood and ashes by the Void and its minions. The grim futures he dreams each night will come true unless he can stop them now, in the present.

love the book

loved the book. Did not care for the narration. Gaving someone a lisp does not fit a 150 year old far creature, or a 4 year old girl.

Reading lacked consistency with previous book (Running With The Demon). Should keep same artist for all books in a series.

Story
She soars above a world of warriors, kings, and priests. The daughter of Belgarath and the shape-shifter Poledra, she has fought wars, plotted palace coups, and worked her powerful magic for 3,000 years. Now, Polgara looks back at her magnificent life, in this fitting crown jewel to the saga that is the Eddingses' Belgariad and Mallorean cycles. Her hair streaked white by her father's first touch, her mind guided by a mother she will not see again for centuries, Polgara begins life in her Uncle Beldin's tower, and in the prehistorical, magical Tree that stands in the middle of the Vale.

With the exception of Polgara ever single cerictor sounded like one of the chipmunks or maybe they where huffing heleom. A 5000 year old man that is over 6' tall should not sound like one of the chipmunks.
