Repetitive
Reviewed: 04-01-25
I didn't mind the different POVs at first, but they became annoying, especially when they were just nonsense. This one felt very repetitive, and the ending was rushed. I also didn't care for the hour-long epilogue. This book just wasn't for me.

Story
I’m a single dad and starting pitcher for Chicago’s MLB team. I’m stretched too thin, but I don’t want help raising my son. Each of his previous nannies only lasted a few weeks before I let them go. Now, my coach is putting his foot down by hiring the one person I can’t fire—his daughter. Miller Montgomery is the last woman I should fall for. Too wild, too young, and too unattached. Chicago is just a quick stop for her. I thought I’d be counting down the days until she left, but summer feels too short when I start thinking about forever.

The banter
Reviewed: 03-18-25
I absolutely love their story from the cutest funniest banter to all the happy and sad emotional parts I seriously couldn't help but cry at. They are my favorite couple in the series.

Story
Many centuries ago, desperate to save her dying sister, Dianna made a deal with Kaden, a monster far worse than any nightmare. Locked in servitude to him, she is forced to hunt down an ancient relic held by her most dangerous enemies: an army led by Samkiel, the World Ender. After the Gods War, Samkiel hid from everything, denying his crown and deserting his people. Now, an attack on those he loves sends him back to the realm he never wished to return to, and into the sights of an enemy he had hoped to forget.

That ending!

4.5⭐️
*Spoiler*
I found the beginning of the story a little challenging, but I thoroughly enjoyed it once it picked up.
I did enjoy the banter between Dianna and Liam and reading Liam past memory where he lost his dad and how he got the name World Ender literally made me cry 😢
Holy cow, I wasn't expecting Drake to be the one who truly betrayed her in the end. Really, neither of them could catch a break, and the ending! Oh my gosh, Dianna losing her sister and Liam's vision actually being about Dianna—my goodness. I shed a few tears throughout it, but dang, that ending hurt.
I can't wait to start the next book.

Story
The duke of the powerful House Hauteclare is the first to die. With my dagger in his back. He didn't see it coming. Didn't anticipate the bastard daughter who was supposed to die with her mother—on his order. He should have left us with the rest of the Station's starving, commoner rubbish.

Best book I've read this year

I absolutely loved this book! It was such a ride seeing how everything was playing out with different pov's and learning the truth about the steeds, and so much more. I can't wait for the next book.
