Story
Distinguished author of Mortal Questions and The View from Nowhere sets forth the central problems of philosophical inquiry for the beginning student. Arguing that the best way to learn about philosophy is to think about its questions directly, Thomas Nagel considers possible solutions to nine problems - knowledge of the world beyond our minds, knowledge of other minds, the mind-body problem, free will, the basis of morality, right and wrong, the nature of death, the meaning of life, and the meaning of words.

Spit it out already...

Perhaps I’m really impatient, but it seemed like this was 7 hours of preparation for a meditation session. The author does give a ton of information regarding brain waves and such. The audiobook doesn’t have the referenced appendices (not a complete surprise). The meditations are in them... Looking for them on his website. Overall, it feels like this was 7 hours of someone trying to sell me on a life changing experience. When I bought the book I was already sold (you had me before chapter 1 dude). As I write this there are two more hours left in the book and he is still going over the same sales message. If there is any direction towards the appendix, I’ll revise this review.
(The direction to the appendices is a link located in the description of the book)

Story
Neil Gaiman has long been inspired by ancient mythology in creating the fantastical realms of his fiction. Now he turns his attention back to the source, presenting a bravura rendition of the great northern tales. In Norse Mythology, Gaiman fashions primeval stories into a novelistic arc that begins with the genesis of the legendary nine worlds; delves into the exploits of the deities, dwarves, and giants; and culminates in Ragnarok, the twilight of the gods and the rebirth of a new time and people.

I wish the teachings in this will change the world. Unfortunately some people don't want to change. They are perfectly happy complaining about everything and never changing anything.
