Story
When Ben Moon moved from the Midwest to Oregon, he hadn’t planned on getting a dog. But when he first met the soulful gaze of a rescue pup in a shelter, Ben instantly felt a connection, and his friendship with Denali was born. The two of them set out on the road together, on an adventure that would take them across the American west and through some of the best years of their lives. But when Ben was diagnosed with colorectal cancer at age 29, he faced a difficult battle with the disease, and Denali never once left his side until they were back out surfing and climbing crags.

I am rarely moved as much as this book was able to move me.

Ben created a rare and poignant portrayal of the bond many of us create with our emotional support animals. Will be recommending to everyone who is in need of a reminder.

Everyone who is a man, loves a man, or plans to love a man will greatly benefit from reading this book. The author also does a good job of bringing her personality out in the reading of the book.

Excellent, insightful book, however the reader diminished the experience
Reviewed: 09-26-18
Excellent content, an insightful book, however the reader diminished the reading experience. She often has a demeaning, shameful tone in her voice when referring to examples of AADHD. I would highly recommend re-recording with a different reader, especially as the majority of the readers likely, themselves, struggle with AADHD.

Story
Ken Ilgunas, lifelong traveler, hitchhiker, and roamer, takes listeners back to the 19th century, when Americans were allowed to journey undisturbed across the country. Inspired by the United States' history of roaming, and taking guidance from present-day Europe, Ilgunas calls into question our entrenched understanding of private property and provocatively proposes something unheard of: opening up American private property for public recreation. He imagines a future in which folks everywhere will have the right to walk safely, explore freely, and roam boldly.

Great content, although maybe a bit idealistic. However, the reader sort of killed it for me; he made the author sound like an egotistical bro.

Story
Only a few years ago, Alex Honnold was little known beyond a small circle of hardcore climbers. Today, at the age of 30, he is probably the most famous adventure athlete in the world. In that short time, he has proven his expertise in many styles of climbing and has shattered speed records, pioneered routes, and won awards within each discipline. More spectacularly still, he has pushed the most extreme and dangerous form of climbing far beyond the limits of what anyone thought was possible.

Great content, but the mispronunciation of words was more than a little annoying. Also, the voice that portrayed Alex Honnold resembled that of an egotistical snowboard bro.
