A Satisfying End to the Trilogy
Reviewed: 01-15-25
I thoroughly enjoy this trilogy and for me at least it ended in a heartfelt and heartbreaking way, but also in just the right way. Well written and a very fine story. And Cramers performance is as always just top tier!

Story
In the wake of a devastating attack, an amnesty has been declared for all Augurs - finally allowing them to emerge from hiding and openly oppose the dark forces massing against the land of Andarra. As the Augur Davian and his new allies hurry north toward the ever-weakening Boundary, however, fresh horrors along their path suggest that their reprieve may have come far too late. His ally in the Capital, the new Northwarden, contends with assassins and politicians and uncovers a dangerous political secret.

Story
Our current definition of “productivity” is broken. It pushes us to treat busyness as a proxy for useful effort, leading to impossibly lengthy task lists and ceaseless meetings. We’re overwhelmed by all we have to do and on the edge of burnout, left to decide between giving into soul-sapping hustle culture or rejecting ambition altogether. But are these really our only choices?

Important Points for a Complex World

The three main conclusions of this book are very inspirational. Especially for a writer / blogger / full time air traffic controller as myself, it's a great point that slowing down will actually make you better and more efficiant.
Also dedicating time in everyday life to work of your projects (like writing a book) and sticking to it with the same rituals is a very valid point.
Now excuse me while I go for a run, mulling over my next chapter.

This is a story about the 4 most important prinme ministers, and if you want to know about what the Jewish state is dealing with and has dealt with, you need to listen to this book. It's well structured, flows well ans is very interesting.

When you hear about problems, wars and supression in the east, it's never the story about Iran and the Iranian people. So this is indeed a very important story to tell and it underlines just how hard it is to live in a land full of injustice towards it's people.

Funny and Thoughtfull

It's a sci-fi story that's very funny and very well written. And even though there's a boat load of humour in there, there's still enough to think about: social networks, how we treat each other, how we live life through techonology.
Christy Romano's naration is almost perfect and brings the story to a higher level.

When Russian President Valeri Volodin's ambitions are foiled in Dagestan, he faces a difficult choice. The oligarchs who support him expect a constant flow of graft, but with energy prices cratering, the Russian economy sputters to a virtual halt. Unable to grow the Russian market at home, his hold on power relies on expansion abroad—a plan that has been thwarted by the United States in the past. But this time Volodin has determined that an indirect approach is the best.

Greaney Maked Clancy's Universe His Own
Reviewed: 01-26-16
Mark Greaney is treating Clancy's Ryan universe as his own, and the stories just getting better and better. I my opinion, Greaney has already surpassed Clancy with a sharp understanding of techology and world politics - and with a frightening ability to foresee world events.
Scott Brick's performance is, as always, just spot on!

When I first began listening to The Survivor, I was sceptical. Would Kyle Mills be able to catch all the nuances of previous Mitch Rapp novels. And I'm glad to report that there's no noticing the transfer from late Vince Flynn to Kyle Mills. The voices of the characters and the conflicts in the story is very much in line of what to expect from a Mitch Rapp story.
The transition is fully complete with George Guidall's performance. He is the voice of all the characters and will always be connecter with Mitch Rapp and Ben Hurley in my mind. Highly recommended!

Technological advances have benefited our world in immeasurable ways, but there is an ominous flip side: our technology can be turned against us. Hackers can activate baby monitors to spy on families, thieves are analyzing social media posts to plot home invasions, and stalkers are exploiting the GPS on smart phones to track their victims’ every move. We all know today’s criminals can steal identities, drain online bank accounts, and wipe out computer servers, but that’s just the beginning.
