Fly Away is the story of three women who have lost their way and need each other - plus a miracle - to transform their lives. An emotionally-complex, heart-wrenching novel about love, family, motherhood, loss, and redemption, Fly Away reminds us that where there is life, there is hope and where there is love, there is forgiveness. Told with her trademark visceral storytelling and illuminating prose, Kristin Hannah reveals why she is one of the most beloved writers of our day.

Is there a third book?

Excellent as the first one!
I am going through a health difficult times kind of like Katie but I ve been lucky and caught on time surgery alone was enough.
I was born in the US but lived abroad until I was 21 and moved back.
I was already married and only lucky enough to find a girlfriend just fifteen years ago but I am grateful for it.
The book touched so many issues and points and I think anybody can relate to most of the story.
Waiting for the next one.

History and Follet

There are books and authors that don’t need more than two or three words to described them. Ken Follet is one of those. Excellent, magnificent, superb. Can’t wait for the next on which I am sure has to do with the Mayflowers, the Puritans, and will be set in our land. Please hurry!

Story
This is the real world of modern Karachi as seen through the eyes of a young woman in an elite family. Here are the hidden dramatic realities of the upper class, the undertow of religion, revealing the truth sometimes spoken in hushed whispers, more often swept away by the flourish of silk saris at extravagant dinner parties...or perhaps never mentioned at all.

Story
The Nightingale tells the stories of two sisters, separated by years and experience, by ideals, passion and circumstance, each embarking on her own dangerous path toward survival, love, and freedom in German-occupied, war-torn France—a heartbreakingly beautiful novel that celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the durability of women. It is a novel for everyone, a novel for a lifetime.

We’ve all have heard stories for WEII and concentration camps. The topic is not new by any stretch of the imagination but I cried while reading and listening this book.
I am a teacher and I see the lack of resilience and grit today’s generation has and how over protected and sheltered we all have our kids.
I am not saying we need a war to change that but those people I. Europe and our people lived through so much last century that made them want something better and they knew they had to work hard and make sacrifices.
Great book!
