Historia
A young, naïve but ultimately courageous hedge knight, Ser Duncan the Tall towers above his rivals—in stature if not experience. Tagging along is his diminutive squire, a boy called Egg—whose true name is hidden from all he and Dunk encounter. Though more improbable heroes may not be found in all of Westeros, great destinies lay ahead for these two . . . as do powerful foes, royal intrigue, and outrageous exploits. Featuring more than 160 all-new illustrations by Gary Gianni, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is a must-have collection that proves chivalry isn’t dead—yet.

Historia
In 1845 Henry David Thoreau, one of the principal New England Transcendentalists, left the town for the country. Beside the lake of Walden, he built himself a log cabin and returned to nature, to observe and reflect, while surviving on $8 a year. From this experience emerged one of the great classics of American literature, a deeply personal reaction against the commercialism and materialism that he saw as the main impulses of mid-19th century America.

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Touching, heartfelt memoir
Revisado: 01-18-23
Enjoyed hearing Harry’s story, and all that encompasses it. Gripping and heartfelt, never dipping into cold, calculated meanness. This is his experience and I’m glad he gets to control this narrative.

Historia
On an autumn morning in 1849, Henry David Thoreau stepped out his front door to walk the beaches of Cape Cod. Over a century and a half later, Ben Shattuck does the same. With little more than a loaf of bread, brick of cheese, and a notebook, Shattuck sets out to retrace Thoreau’s path through the Cape’s outer beaches, from the elbow to Provincetown’s fingertip.

Wonderful book and narrator create music together
Revisado: 02-24-21
Michael Crouch is one of the best narrators I have experienced. He brings emotion and the words on the page to glorious life. Phil Stamper is a wonderful author, and after reading The Gravity of Us I was so excited to read this novel, and I wasn’t disappointed. These are the kind of books I wish I had as a young LGBT youth, i’m so glad teams have this book now. Can’t wait for another hopeful pairing between author and narrator.
