Story
It was just supposed to be a normal day at the Spruce crafts festival. Instead, I accidentally save the life of my childhood crush Noah Reed. And he has no idea how I feel at all. He is adorable, tragically introverted, and frustratingly clueless about emotion. Can't he see the longing in my eyes every time I look at his sweet face? Doesn't he get it when I drop every dang sign there is under the Texas sun that I have feelings for the guy?

Not my favorite book of the Spruce series

Slow moving & too much thinking by each character when something should be happening without hesitation. More spontaneity would make it more enjoyable. When Cole had his first kiss after the botched interview, he should have explained immediately why he did that and not let Noah leave. Prior to the photo shoot, Nadine should have let the filthy guy know explicitly what the event was and expectations. Nadine is a perfectionist and when he arrived, he should have been dismissed and a new guy take his place. To be perfectly honest, I stopped listening because I was bored. As a side note, I have enjoyed the other books and look forward to more.

The story was just ok. The other books by Banner were more enjoyable. Malcom was a whiny & negative guy that I would run from. If I fast forward, I don’t think their relationship would last.
