Story
Chandler Evans made the decision years ago to turn his back on a privileged life in New York to follow his older brother, Gabe, to the frontier. He didn’t regret the decision to become a Texas Ranger, only the choices that went with it. However, he made the mistake fall in love with his partner - a woman incapable of returning his emotions. Agent Elizabeth Cartman became a widow much too young. Guilt plagued her, especially when feelings for a young Texas Ranger grew too strong to ignore.

I have been waiting for this book in the Redemption Mountain series to become available. It is as wonderful as the previous thirteen. The characters feel like family and they come to life. Shirleen Davies is one of my favorite authors. And the western men are strong and sexy. Highly recommend.

Story
Now remembered as the author of the world's most famous hymn, in the mid-18th century, as England and France stand on the brink of war, John Newton was a young sailor wandering aimlessly through life. His only duty was to report to his ship and avoid disgracing his father - until the night he heard Polly Catlett's enchanting voice caroling. He was immediately smitten and determined to win her affection.
