It was so awesome to listen to this and hear such a difference in magical education. To feel included in a story is wonderful, but it's even better when the talent is so rich. This writer is definitely going to be on my list for future reads!

Story
Bringing the magic and suspense of the All Souls Trilogy to a deeply satisfying conclusion, this highly anticipated finale went straight to number one on the New York Times best seller list. In The Book of Life, Diana and Matthew time-travel back from Elizabethan London to make a dramatic return to the present - facing new crises and old enemies. At Matthew’s ancestral home, Sept-Tours, they reunite with the beloved cast of characters from A Discovery of Witches - with one significant exception.

Listened to the collection back to back, and enjoyed it all. The magic takes center stage, as the story evolves and changes at each turn, while the love smolders and crackles in the background.

Tough to get into initially, but once she crosses over things get very interesting in a hurry. I found myself listening any time I had a few minutes to myself. But called myself saving especially good parts for when I knew I could focus on the adventure.

Story building 101

This book does an excellent job of slowly building information and pulling you into the story. Many of the characters begin to come together in a way that interlocks with the story as well, and it all seems to blend in the right way.
