This is a book I've read several times, I love the intimate look it gives to the Marine Corps, the characters and story line are great. That said. I felt the narrator's voices, especially for the females, was distracting bad.

I LOVED listening to this story! The narration was engaging and the storyline was fun and heartwarming. The group of friends reminded me of Scooby Doo crew, but for a new generation. While the story seemed to be geared towards kids, I found it super entertaining and easy listening.

From Joe Hill's chilling storyline to the narrators' (all of them) amazing performances, this was the best Audible book I've listened to.

This book has not the most unique story line because it's loosely based off "Sabrina" and other Audrey Hepburn movies mixed with "The Devil Wears Prada; however, it was so fun and entertaining!

The book visits many countries in Holly's travels. The words paint a beautiful picture of archeological sites, gorgeous beaches and some of the worlds most elite and impeccably dressed people!

If you like fashion, travel and a great love story, this is the book for you!

I couldn't even try to describe the beautiful writing this book has. The whole story is written like a Renoir painting. You think it's one thing from afar, but when you get closer, there are so many details and lessons to learn.

At first, the book is hard to get through because there's a lot of details, but soon you'll find yourself sucked in. I would say the end of part 1 of the audiobook is where things really take off. By part 2, I was running back to my computer to finish the rest of the story!

So, just like "Pi", don't give up, finish the story and you'll love it!

I really enjoyed this Mother-Daughter tag team narration of all their hilarious stories! I would recommend this to any woman looking for an easy laugh and listen, especially if you liked "Bossypants" by Tina Fey.

I really loved how the mother and daughter aren't stereotypical females. They enjoy life, work hard and love, but they are not overly girly females. This is something I can relate to. Even though they are not "girly", they still love each other and support each other and it really comes through in their stories.

What disappointed you about L.A. Candy?

L.A. Candy was an exact replica of Lauren Conrad's journey into MTV reality fame. All she did was turn "The Hills" into "L.A. Candy"- how creative... Being casted for a reality show full of blonde rich girls fighting over nonsensical things, does not qualify you for writing. This was not even entertaining.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Lauren Conrad?

No

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from L.A. Candy?

I would make LC re-write this book from beginning to end. I think it would have been more successful if we got Lauren Conrad's first-hand account of how "The Hills" changed her life; instead of her pretending to be a young-fiction author re-writing the terrible scripts of her 'real life' in "The Hills".
