Story
For 20 years, Kayla, Antoinette and Val have performed their own special summer ritual. Once a year, the old friends put aside their daily, separate lives to drink champagne, swap stories and swim naked under the Nantucket stars. But on one of those bonding nights, one of their trio swims out from the shore and doesn't return. After the surviving friends emerge from their grief, they realize that the repercussions of their loss go far beyond their little circle, and they begin to uncover layers of secrets—and their connections to each other—that were never revealed on the beach.

Oh, my goodness. I made it through this book, but I couldn't stand the narrator's voice adaption for Antoinette. It was as if Antoinette was a dude. Not good at all.

Story
Sam Hill always saw the world through different eyes. Born with red pupils, he was called “Devil Boy” or Sam “Hell” by his classmates; “God’s will” is what his mother called his ocular albinism. Her words were of little comfort, but Sam persevered. Sam believed it was God who sent Ernie Cantwell, the only African American kid in his class, to be the friend he so desperately needed. And that it was God’s idea for Mickie Kennedy to storm into Our Lady of Mercy like a tornado, uprooting every rule Sam had been taught about boys and girls. Forty years later, Sam, a small-town eye doctor, is no longer certain anything was by design.

Story
An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.

Except for the author’s multiple negative remarks regarding persons that do not buy into his liberal leanings, it was good.

I have listened to erotica for a few books in a row; my most recent is Razer’s Ride. This is by far the most preposterous book to date. The narrator is unconvincing, sounding like a teenager. Grossed me out, honestly. Storyline was flimsy and unbelievable. I guess you have to suspend your belief in reality for these types of books. Perhaps I am the problem, not the book? Nah, don’t think so.

I finished this book, because I’d already put too much time into it to quit. I found myself rolling my eyes all too frequently. Don’t care about the characters. Story is long and tortuous. Weird how Simon is just thrown in, then his actions are just so predictable. I just can’t say how ridiculous I feel this book is; purchase at your own risk.

Sometimes I need a little, easy story. Nothing that takes too much thought, nothing really emotional. This book fit the bill. Typical chick lit, which suited me just fine at the time. If you like her other books, then you’ll most likely enjoy this one, too.

You went to bed at home, just like every other night. You woke up in the back of a taxi, over 250 miles away. You have no idea how you got there and no memory of the last 10 hours. You have no phone, no money, just a suicide note in your coat pocket, in your own writing. You know you weren't planning to kill yourself. Your family and friends think you are lying. Someone knows exactly what happened to you. But they're not telling....
