My daughter and I love Stranger Things and when I saw this book on Audible, I had to get it. I even bought a paperback for my daughter. She is loving the book and it's giving her a renewed sense of understanding of the Gospel.

Historia
You can believe because of the evidence, not in spite of it. For the first 35 years of his life, J. Warner Wallace was a devout atheist. After all, how can you believe a claim made about an event in the distant past for which there is little forensic evidence? Then Wallace realized something. Christianity was a lot like the cold cases he solved as a homicide detective - cold cases that turned out to have enough evidence, eyewitnesses, and records to solve.

Apologetic for the murder mystery enthusiast.
Revisado: 09-23-19
I was a huge fan of "A Case For Christ" by Lee Strobel. This book is very similar in how the author uses his own real-world experiences and training to prove the existence of Christ. My wife and I are huge fans of "Murder mystery" and "Unsolved criminal" case type shows - we frequent the Investigation Discovery channel. The author does a fantastic job at laying out the crime scene, questioning the available witnesses, going over case facts and presenting the case in such a way that is really opens the eyes of the reader. I am a Christ follower so this book offers more fuel to add to the defense of my faith but for the non-believer, this book offers simple yet sound reasoning from a former atheist for the Biblical narrative and the proof that Jesus Christ came to this earth - born of a virgin, lived a humble life until He was about 30 years old then began his 3 year ministry with 12 apostles who were ill prepared for such a task but faithfully followed Him - all this resulting in Christ's death on a cross, burial and glorious resurrection on the third day. Those apostles also faced death for continuing to spread the Gospel of Christ. They were willing to risk it all for the defense of the faith.
This book is very well narrated and easy to understand - some parts get a little technical but the author does a great job of staying on topic and getting you involved in the story.

Using a comic superhero as an illustration of each heresy, Superheroes Can’t Save You presents a history of the deficient view of Jesus; an investigation of contemporary proponents of that heresy; warnings on how contemporary Christians can unwittingly fall into such bad thinking of Jesus; a biblically faithful correction on who Jesus is; and an explanation of why it is important that we understand who Jesus actually is.

MARVEL-ous!
Revisado: 09-09-19
A good friend of mine referred me to this book and I absolutely loved it from beginning to end! So much Christian theology packed into the relatable subjects of comic book superheroes. I am a huge fan of anything Marvel and some of the DC stuff and the fallacies that are given are spot on. The author does a phenomenal job of narrating his book and is a must read for any avid Christ follower or one searching for answers as to who Christ is. I will definitely be re-listening to this one!

Historia
I Don't Have Enough Faith to Be an Atheist argues that Christianity requires the least faith of all worldviews because it is the most reasonable. The authors lay out the evidence for truth, God, and the Bible in logical order and in a readable, non-technical, engaging style. A valuable aid to those interested in examining the reasonableness of the Christian faith, Geisler and Turek provide a firm challenge to the prior beliefs of doubters and skeptics.

Lots of information to digest.
Revisado: 07-10-19
The authors do a great job of presenting the case of atheism taking a lot more faith to believe than Christian theism. This book is laid out very well and the narrator is very clear and easy to understand. I will definitely have to go through this a 2nd and possibly a 3rd time because there is so much information to digest that you can't retain it from one read. I thought it was well worth the purchase though and a great study tool to help you in making your case for Christ in your daily witness.

Excellent Bible study tool
Revisado: 05-23-19
This audiobook addresses some of the most common (and uncommon) questions both believers and non-believers have in regards to Christianity and other world religions. Each topic is well thought out and answered in a way that is very easy to understand. Narration is clear and engaging. I have used several of these with my youth group in answering questions they have. I would highly recommend buying the hard copy of this book also as it contains a few more questions that are not in the audiobook version.

Historia
Do we have anything in common with the bad guys of the Bible? The sins of wrath, idolatry, and abuse of power are closer to us than we think. How do we guard against them? We learn not only by following moral exemplars; we also need to look at the warnings of lives gone wrong. In this fictionalized narrative, JR. Forasteros reintroduces us to some of the most villainous characters of Scripture. He shows us what we can learn from their negative examples, with figures such as Cain, Jezebel, and even Satan serving as cautionary tales of sin and temptation.

questionable title but great content!
Revisado: 03-26-18
I was a little skeptical about this book as a Christian book, given the title of it but once I got into it, it was very eye opening. I never thought of the villains in the Old and New Testament in such a way that the author lays them out. Especially the view of Satan. This is a great read and great reference tool for your Bible study collection.

Great Book and written extremely well!
Revisado: 01-06-17
I heard about this book from a radio broadcast where the radio host was interviewing Frank Turek. I found his commentary to be very intriguing so I downloaded the audio book and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also subscribe to Frank Turek's YouTube channel which is also great. I will say that a couple of chapters contain a lot of scientific stuff that can be difficult to follow. However, the book in its entirety is an honest, unbiased account for why atheism can't be true unless God exists. I say unbiased because Frank gives real world truth before even tackling the Christian worldview. The final couple of chapters really hone in on the Gospel and salvation through Jesus Christ which is an awesome way to end an already great book! Also the narration by John McLain (not from Die Hard) is very clear and his voice inflection comes in a the right moments which keeps you wanting to hear more.
