Worth it!
Revisado: 01-13-23
Short and sweet review: This is a well thought out planned story and the author did brilliantly. I wish she would have made a fourth book though, instead of rushing the ending as it was. The author could have definitely started from any of the points of Jezalea being in the palace, or in Civica and took more time for the ending. But other than that, I truly love this story, this is my second or third time on this story's journey, but my first time LISTENING to it. I feel the narrators did well, maybe not who I would have chosen for these characters, but they all did an.amazing job and kept me listening. No vulgarity, No crass-ness, This was a great way to present a story and I miss when most books were like THIS ONE Two thumbs up

Great listen! Narration is Awesome! *chef's kiss*
Revisado: 01-03-23
Enjoyable and the performance is exemplary! Characters are well written and the story line flows well. Tbh my favorite books are the next set with Ronan and Reina... that series is SWOOOON City!! lol.But this series is great too and I did not read these (listen to) in order. I started with Ronan's story and then found these books and started on book 6, this one, The Keepers Legacy, because I enjoy the duet male/female narration better than a single narrator. So I missed the entire beginning of the series, but that's ok because it doesn't matter in the way this author writes!! Love her style!! Worth the credit or money!!

Tales you win. Heads you lose. And the fighters of Tales never lose. The men my father ruled were his faithful soldiers sworn to protect the club, him, me. Until one day, his most loyal soldier, Beast, makes a decision that changes my story forever. But this is no fairy tale and I don't own a crown. This is real life. Bloody, violent, and filled with alpha men who use their fists to settle every dispute. And if the man who calls me Princess thinks he can break my heart and get away with it, he can think again.

So vulgar and crude and distasteful!
Revisado: 12-29-22
The blurb made this book seem so good, and the one review also. Honestly if you like vulgar and crass language, such as talking about D's every other second and 'P***y' and only 10% storyline and no action, then this is the book for you. I can't deal though, I wanted a STORY, not angsty 'we shouldn't but we want to' and 'all we think about and talk about is P and D the entire time' in the inner monologue. I got to chapter 10 and it NEVER GETS BETTER, there is BARELY A STORYLINE except for the bodyguard and his bosses daughter wanting each others body parts the entire time and how their parts are tingling and throbbing constantly!!! They flirt and then warn each other away while 'throbbing' and.'leaking' for eachother and then REPEAT a bunch of times by chapter 10. I had no idea this would be like a lead up porn... And there hasn't been any 'romance' or any 'action', just constant description of body parts that need talen care of and lots of foul language the whole 10 chapters so far. If you can't handle Basically zero story line and vulgar and foul language every other word then DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS BOOK! I ONLY gave the 2 stars for the narrators as they did a good job of bringing this book to life, that's for sure. Lol. I'm going to return this and get my credit back. Very VERY DISAPPOINTED in the lack of warning or accurate description in the preview. Smh.

Fantastic story and narrators did petty good.
Revisado: 12-20-22
I read (not listened) to this book and the other two when they came out. I remember hunting for the the third book everywhere and driving pretty far to buy the physical copy. I was enthralled by this story, and I fell in L.O.V.E. with the characters. This story is so well written and it pulls you in and wraps around you like a cozy warm blanket, trapping you within its threads. The descriptions of events and the way this author spins her words, i honestly felt like i was STANDING RIGHT THERE with Lia... I could see it all as it happened as if i was watching it with my own eyes! The best kinds of book are the ones that you feel a part of!
I saw some of the other reviews, and some were negative... I will admit that this book does start out pretty decent and intriguing, but is a bit of setting things up in the storyline and a bit slower paced than the other two books. But honestly what story doesn't need a set up to introduce you to the world and get the story flowing?? Anyone who does NOT continue on with this story in Book Two and complete this journey with book three is SEVERELY MISSING OUT!!! It gets soooo much better and way more happens than does in book one... Much much more!!! Enter the "bad guy (s)" and the "good stuff"... book two is where the webs that were set up in THIS book start to entwine and tangle and unravel and there are twists and turns and betrayals that you will never see coming!!!. I LOVE THIS STORY!
These narrators did a pretty good job, they were not all who I would have chosen for the characters, but they did well enough. Their cadences were well paced, and their voices were pretty decent. Although one of the male narrators does NOT do a.female character voice very well at all. But the story is enthralling enough that its easy to roll your eyes and continue on. WELL WORTH THE CREDIT OR MONEY AND YOU WILL WANT TO CHECK OUT BOOK TWO, even if you thought book one was a bit slow and not enough action, you will not be disappointed with book two or three!!! Happy listening readers!!!

Historia
I'm Sophia Henley, a typical college freshman. I never expected a lion to be stalking me, nor for fire to come shooting out of my hands to protect my sister. Next thing I know, a drop-dead gorgeous guy shows up on my doorstep to sweep me away to a magical school, where I'll learn to control my element and bond with a powerful creature called a Familiar. I don't believe I'm the savior of an ancient tribe, or the missing piece of a prophecy that's more myth than reality. Worst of all, I'm forced to enter the Elemental Cup, where I'll either earn my place in this society, or die trying.

Had potential...
Revisado: 12-14-22
Was a unique world and storyline, though it felt a bit rushed and amateur in its nature. Certain phrases and actions were just so juvenile and lacked a certain sophistication that one would hope for in a good read. But, it was an interesting storyline, although maybe a bit slow. I found myself trailing off into thought multiple times and I didnt.bother rewinding as there's never really anything important missed. I give it a 3n half stars. Not too keen on the female narrator, too airy and high... the male wasn't that great either. I'm not going to read the next book.

FANTASTIC!
Revisado: 12-09-22
I have been looking for a good read for weeks, my only complaint about this book and.the first one is that I truly, TRULY, wish they were LONGER! Fabulous storyline, Fabulous characters, Fabulous narrators, I mean I am ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH THIS STORY AND ALL ENTWINED WITHIN IT! You will not regret it! There is a bit of Very Mature adult situations within this and the first book, but.only a few, that fell within the story perfectly. And a bit... okay well A LOT of cussing, sometimes uncalled for, and a bit of dirty talk. But... in my mind, the story is well well worth those things because it was not constant or overbearing. I am full committed to this story and world and I laughed, A LOT, especially in the first book with Ronan's French speaking acquaintance... and I cried, like legit teared up and let em roll on down my cheeks unchecked, and my heart ached in parts and of course I've gotten a tad Angry also.... but this book gives you ALL the feels... E P I C... I consider this story an EPIC read. Its been a very long time since I've had a read like this that I've FELT so engrossed in and I am incredibly thankful that this author PUT THEIR ALL INTO THIS and is such a wonderful story teller! If I could, this one would get 6 stars!

Wish I could find more books like this. Oh my heart, can't wait for book 2!! There is Definitely a cliff hanger at the end so beware.

Great story...
Revisado: 11-02-22
I loved this story start to finish. My only gripe is that there were a few things left unfinished that left me with questions that I have to make up what happened next in my head. Other than that, story was well written and narrator did a good job. Only thing I would like to see changed were the voices of characters, maybe a bit more of a difference between them so that the don't sound so similar? Over all I give this book a 4star rating for the reasons said above. But definitely worth listening to or reading. Thumbs up.
