An Exciting Prelude of the End
Reviewed: 03-20-24
Tower of Silence was worth the extended wait. Larry Correia hit another one out of the park with this 4th addition to Saga of the Forgotten Warrior, and Tim Gerard Reynolds did an amazing job bringing the story to life in audio form. If you liked the previous books in this series, this one is a must read/listen. It has all the action, betrayal, and political maneuvering of the previous entrees, but also sets things up as an exciting prelude of the final 5th book. Needless to say, both fans and myself will be at the edge of our seats waiting for that last entree of Saga of the Forgotten Warrior.

Pleasantly Surprised
Reviewed: 11-02-23
I don't normally listen to books of this genre, so I was pleasantly surprised to find how much I enjoyed it. I liked the dynamic between the two main characters, and the lore sprinkled here and there, especially with the twist reveals at the end, left me wanting more. I'll definitely be getting the sequel when it comes out!

Story
Agent Franks of the U.S. Monster Control Bureau is a man of many parts - parts from other people, that is. Franks is nearly seven feet tall and all muscle. He's nearly indestructible. Plus he’s animated by a powerful alchemical substance and inhabited by a super-intelligent spirit more ancient than humanity itself. Good thing he’s on our side. More or less.

This Man Can't Miss!
Reviewed: 08-16-23
Being a book where we mostly follow someone who isn't from MHI, Larry Correia still managed to deliver on a story that was just as good as its predecessors. Here, the mysterious, cold blooded Franks is the protagonist, and it was awesome being able to see things from his perspective! I didn't think Larry could get me to root for and sympathize with the MCB, but he did!

Another BOMBASTIC Sequel
Reviewed: 08-11-23
If you loved the last 4 Monster Hunter books, chances are you'll love this one too. Just as much if not somehow more action and explosions as the previous books, but add a political power struggle behind the scenes on top of all that. Larry Correia hit it out of the park with this one, and the Narrator did an amazing job bringing more life to the story.

Another Great Book with my Favorite Character
Reviewed: 08-04-23
This book is a bit different from its two predecessors in that it follows Harbinger and a few others rather than Owen. But it was a great book nonetheless. It was awesome being able to hear a story from the perspective of my favorite Hunter. The Narrator did a great job in this one as well. At this point, I can't imagine anyone else narrating the Monster Hunter series.

To this day this book holds my personal record for the fastest hook in any book I've read/listened to. And I had a great time listening all throughout it. I can't imagine anyone else Narrating the series. Perfect Narrator, fantastic music in the start and end that sends chills down my spine, and a great entertaining story about slaying monsters in a modern setting using modern tech. Awesome all around!

Story
Bringing with him the practical experience that comes from having owned a high-end gun store—catering largely to law enforcement—and as a competitive shooter and self-defense trainer, Correia blasts apart the emotion-laden, logic-free rhetoric of the gun-control fanatics who turn every "mass shooting" into a crazed call for violating your rights, abusing the Constitution—and doing absolutely nothing to really fight crime.

Both Educational AND Entertaining
Reviewed: 01-26-23
While I was disappointed that Larry Correia himself didn't narrate this, John McLain quickly won me over in record time as narrator. The book itself was a very well executed combination of entertaining AND educational. Being a Zoomer, I learned a lot from listening to this audiobook! Loved this book, which is impressive for me because I usually don't vibe with nonfiction. Larry Correia and those he worked with did great work with this!
