A female character without much feeling is not one I really want to read about. We have enough male characters like that.

I am so over books about angels, vampires, or medieval style warriors. Merlin has been done too many times. But I digress. I don't expect to see a lot of washed-up has-beens as the heroes of a story, much less ones so totally exemplary and admirable in all their apparent frailty. Outstanding! More!

If you could sum up A Wrinkle in Time in three words, what would they be?

An absolute must read for any child with a tiny bit of brain. Hopefully it will stimulate a lifetime of inquiry.

What other book might you compare A Wrinkle in Time to and why?

I wish there were many more. Maybe Harry Potter books, only more science and less fantasy.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

Narrator did what they must do: Brought the characters to life without getting in the way.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Tesseract or Bust!

Any additional comments?

Love.

I have enjoyed many of yourself his books. I can't tell if this one is not as good or if I am just getting bored by her style. However it just didn't keep my interest. It's in predictable.

I dislike weak female characters, but insecure and bitchy is probably my least favorite combination. Unfortunately this didn't develop until halfway through the book. It was really painful to continue after that point. I will certainly not listen to any of the others.

The idea was an interesting concept. At first I did not like the two readers, but I got used to it and it became a good part of the story. The culture is certainly exotic enough. It should've been wonderful. Sorry I missed the mark.

Where does Strange the Dreamer rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

In the top five.

What about Steve West’s performance did you like?

Great uses of voice for the characters..

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, I was a third of the way through before I even decided if I wanted to finish it. Then it caught fire and I didn't want to stop it.

Any additional comments?

A very timely story. But I am an older listener, so I have to be forgiven for flashing on The Beatles and their Yellow Submarine line: "Funny, you don't look blueish." And, indeed, it has a similar allegory basis. Warning: This one takes a while to lay out the characters and the premises of the story. Have patience. It will be worth the wait. This writer is so original, she takes my breath away. Can't wait to the next installment.

Wildly entertaining at the beginning. After a while, it got to be very repetitious. By the end;, I was glad it was almost over. Of course, it wasn't really the end. Apparently there will be a sequel. I will not partake.

Would you listen to The Housekeeper and the Professor again? Why?

No. It is pretty much a one-trick pony; but it was a great character study.

What did you like best about this story?

The fascinating relationships between the professor, the housekeeper and her young son. How does one have an ongoing relationship that ends each day? Quite a concept.

What about Cassandra Campbell’s performance did you like?

Totally in keeping with the demeanor of the housekeper.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Many. The ball game, perhaps.

Any additional comments?

Not being a mathematical type, I suspect I missed a lot of significance; but I didn't miss much in the gentle dance between these lovely beings.

This is one of the best young adult books I have read. Have a imaginative, great characterization, and just a little edgy.note: I love the way she brings the book to a sort of conclusion while hinting at a new unfolding story I ahead.
