Story
Feyre has undergone more trials than one human woman can carry in her heart. Though she’s now been granted the powers and lifespan of the High Fae, she is haunted by her time Under the Mountain and the terrible deeds she performed to save the lives of Tamlin and his people. As her marriage to Tamlin approaches, Feyre’s hollowness and nightmares consume her. She finds herself split into two different people: one who upholds her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court, and one who lives out her life in the Spring Court with Tamlin.

best book in the series
Reviewed: 02-23-25
This is hands down my favorite book in the series. Such an action-packed, fun, and sultry read with so much character development, it leaves the previous book in the dust. The performance isn't the best though as the performer speaks in a frustratingly slow drawl that makes an exciting book sound dull but it helps to playback at 1.2x speed. It sounds more natural and less frustrating.

good book that starts off a phenomenal series
Reviewed: 02-23-25
This is one of my favorite series but not the best book in it otherwise I would give it more stars but definitely worth the read to get to the next book which is so so good. It can be a bit slow at times and the male lead is frustrating but it is necessary set up for the story to
come and the female leads evolution from victim to heroine keeps it interesting.
I read the book before getting the audible and I was not a fan of the performer. The performance is meh because she sounds slow and dull but if you listen at 1.2x playback it sounds more natural and a better listen.

Heralded as an instant classic of fantasy literature, Maguire has written a wonderfully imaginative retelling of The Wizard of Oz told from the Wicked Witch's point of view. More than just a fairy tale for adults, Wicked is a meditation on the nature of good and evil.

Bizarre

Though some storypoints are reminiscent of the play, it really is nothing like it and not in a good way. I am a big fan of Sci-fi and fantasy and this was bizarre even for me. There were some extremely creepy sexual undertones that made me stop halfway through and lose interest in finishing the book all together. Read/listen at your own risk.

Really compelling & eye opening from a super credible source

What a fascinating book. Even without going into too much sensitive detail, it puts the studies of UAPs into a whole new light with helpful diagrams explaining the perceived phenomena. I am not a UFO buff and I found this an extremely compelling and fascinating listen from an indelible source.

Earls Trip is a humorous, romantic, and heart-warming regency-era novel that doesn'ttake itself seriously. Definitely recommend.

Story
North America was settled by people with distinct religious, political, and ethnographic characteristics, creating regional cultures that have been at odds with one another ever since. Subsequent immigrants didn't confront or assimilate into an "American" or "Canadian" culture, but rather into one of the 11 distinct regional ones that spread over the continent each staking out mutually exclusive territory. In American Nations, Colin Woodard leads us on a journey through the history of our fractured continent....
