Absolutely a great story to listen too. This is my favorite series and the newest book does not disappoint! Please do give it a try! I would recommend starting at the beginning of the series to get the whole story. Romance- without graphic sex, lots of adventure and a great story line!

Faith Hunter is absolutely amazing with character development and word building. She has such an interesting story to tell and it is well worth picking up the series from book 1 to the end.

This is a fun series with great characters. The voices of the characters aren't always what I would like to hear, but they are OK.

The narration was OK. not my favorite, not the worst. The story is good. I skipped parts to get through it faster. I will try the next one.

Story
They call me the Spider. I'm the most feared assassin in the South -- when I'm not busy at the Pork Pit cooking up the best barbecue in Ashland. As a Stone elemental, I can hear everything from the whispers of the gravel beneath my feet to the vibrations of the soaring Appalachian Mountains above me. My Ice magic also comes in handy for making the occasional knife. But I don't use my powers on the job unless I absolutely have to. Call it professional pride.

I had not previously encountered this series and really like the story and the way it develops, however, the narrator is way to flat for my tastes.

kinky sex and a plot
Reviewed: 09-14-13
I love the action in this presentation. Plenty of good character and story development and not just an endless orgy with a little action like Bullet was. Still has lots of kinky sex but its better integrated into the book and not what the story revolves around.
Police scenes, zombies and Anita kicking butt. A good selection.
