Story
Jeremy, Kade, and Karina go to Kar's ex-boyfriend, Eddie, to trade for a decent weapon. Eddie won't trade, and Kade won't take no for an answer. In the meantime, Matt and Sarah, who venture out on their own, are abducted by an armed gang. The Saga Intensifies!
Reviewed: 11-06-17
The story continues immediately following the events of the first book and the situation quickly escalates for our protagonists. The real dangers emerge as Jeremy and friends find out just how bad the situation can get. I was left with a great impression of how much effort and research must have been put into the book by the author. Storytelling at it's best!

Story
Five friends. West L.A. The power goes out, and everything with it. Civilization as they know it has ended. And they are in the worst place they could be - surrounded by looter gangs and millions who will soon be desperate and dying. Young, fit, but ill prepared, their choices are few and stark. Jeremy's Run: L.A. Dark is the first installment of a serial story that chronicles an epic struggle of the human spirit to survive, to prevail over the odds, to retain one's humanity, and to keep alive the hope for a new and better future.

Unexpectedly Great

I first came across these books and downloaded them almost three years ago. I've finally worked my way through my audiobook list to arrive at L.A. Dark. What a treat! It sets up a great story with interesting characters and gets the listener invested right away. The first book in the series is basically an introduction to the rest of the books and leaves you wanting more, so definitely be ready to commit to the journey. Enjoy!
