I love the story, a bit unusual at times but the way in which the story is woven together brings everything to fit into place so perfectly that I'm left truly fullfilled. a most wonderful fist work of art.

Story
English magicians were once the wonder of the known world, with fairy servants at their beck and call; they could command winds, mountains, and woods. But by the early 1800s they have long since lost the ability to perform magic. They can only write long, dull papers about it, while fairy servants are nothing but a fading memory.

I loved how the push and pull of the main characters relationship developed throughout the story; the story picks up speed as it progresses and by the end of the book I couldn't help but want more. their future is left in question and at the same time so many things are occurring around them that could take them in any direction together. I can't wait for the second audio book.
