So Much Exposition and little action and progress
Reviewed: 08-30-22
This book is less about time travel action and more about back stories and explaining so much about something you either knew or don't care about. If you love army and legal talk packaged as a terminator like exposition then by all means read. For me it was a struggle after 4 hours.

Story
There's a reason We Are Legion was named Audible's Best Science Fiction Book of 2016: Its irresistibly irreverent wit! Bob Johansson has just sold his software company for a small fortune and is looking forward to a life of leisure. The first item on his to-do list: Spending his newfound windfall. On an urge to splurge, he signs up to have his head cryogenically preserved in case of death. Then he gets himself killed crossing the street. Waking up 117 years later, Bob discovers his mind has been uploaded into a sentient space probe with the ability to replicate itself.

Good Book, OK Ending

Good book. Ends without much flair. Probably to set up the series but I do like the progression overall

Story
In the frigid pre-dawn hours, in a distressed Midwestern city, hundreds of desperate unemployed folks are lined up for a spot at a job fair. Without warning, a lone driver plows through the crowd in a stolen Mercedes, running over the innocent, backing up, and charging again. Eight people are killed; fifteen are wounded. The killer escapes. Mr. Mercedes is a war between good and evil, from the master of suspense whose insight into the mind of this obsessed, insane killer is chilling and unforgettable.

Good cop verus "perk" book
Reviewed: 09-01-15
Overall it was a good book. Had a few issues with how the villain acted and the highly detailed nature about incest but a semi predictable ending. The reader of this story used two different voices, one for the officer and the other for the murderer, but had trouble keeping to the right voice at the right time when the narrative switches which made it slightly confusing on who is talking. Overall still a good novel to listen too but don't expect coming into this story expecting that the villain will be revealed later on but think of this is the story of both sides of the coin.

Story
In the 25th century, humankind has spread throughout the galaxy, monitored by the watchful eye of the U.N. While divisions in race, religion, and class still exist, advances in technology have redefined life itself. Now, assuming one can afford the expensive procedure, a person's consciousness can be stored in a cortical stack at the base of the brain and easily downloaded into a new body (or "sleeve") making death nothing more than a minor blip on a screen.

Great detective story with some good action
Reviewed: 06-30-15
I had a good time listening to this book. A good futuristic sci-fi action detective story overall but wished he kept the loves scenes to a minimal. I get it, they had sex. I didn't need the play by play to know it was good

When the Imperial prison barge Purge—temporary home to five hundred of the galaxy’s most ruthless killers, Rebels, scoundrels, and thieves—breaks down in a distant part of space, its only hope appears to lie with a Star Destroyer found drifting and seemingly abandoned. But when a boarding party from the Purge is sent to scavenge for parts, only half of them come back—bringing with them a horrific disease so lethal that within hours, nearly all aboard the Purge die in ways too hideous to imagine.

Story
Touch is an electrifying thriller by the author of The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August and 84K. He tried to take my life. Instead, I took his. It was a long time ago. I remember it was dark, and I didn't see my killer until it was too late. As I died, my hand touched his. That's when the first switch took place. Suddenly, I was looking through the eyes of my killer, and I was watching myself die. Now switching is easy. I can jump from body to body, have any life, be anyone. Some people touch lives. Others take them. I do both.

loved the story if it wasn't for the hours spent describing the scenery. Still a great story and I had fun listening to it
