Story
Who leaves their girlfriend in the woods after a fight? My now ex-boyfriend, that’s who. One fight—okay, a big fight—because I found out he was cheating on me while we were camping, and poof! He left me in the woods. So, I start walking to town, only I end up at the river, where I meet Axel. This guy is huge. With a storm rolling in, I don’t have much choice but to trust him and take shelter in his cabin, since I’ve been walking for hours away from town. Several days of rain wash out the road and it looks like I’m stuck here with my giant.

Narration ruins it
Reviewed: 10-02-24
It had some spice but I honestly don’t know that this book was any good, because the narration, especially the female narrator, was so bad to listen to. I finished the book due to it auto-playing while I was busy doing other things, but unfortunately it’s left me completely uninterested in reading anything else in this series.

Story
This Psych 312 assignment just might send me off the deep end. Determining whether love at first sight really exists with Robbie Moravian as my project partner of all people? He’s the sappiest man alive, so upbeat I could scream, and clearly rooting for happy endings at every turn. How does he not learn from experience considering our own meet-cute last semester almost got us expelled? But we both need to pass this course to graduate. So we’re interviewing five random couples about their meet-cutes and relationships and spending all this time together. Which is certainly...educational.

Such a fun listen

First off, the narrators were fantastic. This was such a fun story and the main narrators brought the words to life. You just can’t wait to hear what happens during each of the next interviews and how their relationship develops.

Story
Paint your toes. Pick up the wrong coffee and bagel order. Drive from Brooklyn to Jersey in traffic so slow you want to tear your hair out. It’s amazing all the useless things I can accomplish while on hold for three hours with customer service. Three hours when I should be getting the Date-in-a-Box website ready to launch at the big business expo in a few days. Except my shiny new website is glitching, and my inner rage-monster is ready to scorch some earth...when he finally picks up. Not the robot voice I expected but a real live human named Kal.

So very very good!

This story was narrated unlike any other one I’ve listened to on Audible and in the very best way. Others have said it, but I’m going to repeat that it’s just like listening to a movie and you can picture it so clearly in your head. Both narrators did an amazing job and had me emotionally invested in their journey. So worth the listen and probably a download to listen to again later!

Story
Travis Bennett is exactly the kind of guy Lauren Davis has been avoiding for the past nine years. Religiously. Stubbornly. Successfully. She knows too well how easy it is to let lust ruin perfectly laid plans. And a small-town farmer with no ambitions beyond the borders of his own cornfield is not going to change her mind. She's got important stuff to do. Her company is literally working to stop world hunger. Her plans are much bigger than Sapphire Falls. No matter how hot those farmers might be.

Perfect meeting of opposites

Really enjoyed how the main characters were presented and how their relationship and personalities clashed, until they didn’t. Great build-up for the relationship you know is coming. You can’t wait until they just stop fighting the inevitable.
Thought Kate Udall did a great job giving individual personality to each character’s voice throughout the story.
